Abstract:
A system for filtering water in a spa that provides safety and greater filtration. The system may include a filter secured to a core. The core may include first and second cages with a plurality of openings allowing water to freely pass through the filter and core while preventing larger objects from passing through. The first cage may provide an orientation feature to position the filter in one direction. The second cage may hold mineral cartridges. The core may be secured to a fitting that is secured to the suction line of a spa via a ratchet like engagement feature. The fitting and core prevent back out of the core unless manually overriding the arm on the core which engages fins on the fitting. The filter may be removed and replaced while the core remains in place providing safety to the user. A cap secures the whole assembly into place.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a collapsible filter apparatus. The collapsible filter apparatus includes an expandable top fluid retention portion, a filter portion and a collapsible funnel portion. These elements are joined to one another so as to provide fluid in need of filtering an expanded receptacle that can be collapsed for storage and transport.
Abstract:
A filter element (10) of a filter for fluid, particularly fuel, oil, water, urea solution or air, particularly of a combustion engine, particularly of an automobile, and a method for manufacturing same are described. The filter element (10) comprises a filter medium (14) structured as a filter medium hollow body (12) and closed circumferentially at least with respect to an element axis (16). The filter medium (14) is enclosed at least partially circumferentially and at least partially axially by an electrical heating jacket (26). The filter medium (14) has, on at least one front side, an end member (32) that is connected tightly at least to the filter medium (14). After insertion of the filter medium hollow body (12) into the heating jacket (26), the front side of the filter medium hollow body (12) is provided with an end member (32).
Abstract:
A filter cartridge for installation in a housing having a housing seat includes a filtration media compiled in a cylindrical pack having a radially outer face, a radially inner face defining a central cavity, a first axial end face, and a second axial end face. An end cap having an attachment portion is bonded and sealed to an axial end of the filtration media. A hub portion connects the attachment portion to a non-circular locking portion axially spaced from the attachment portion. The locking portion extends radially beyond the width of the hub portion and includes a sealing face having at least one annular sealing element for sealing against the housing seat.
Abstract:
A support structure (16) for a filter element, comprising at least one surface part (10), in which one or more fluid passage openings (12a-12e) with predetermined opening cross-sections are formed, is characterized in that the opening cross-section of at least one fluid passage opening (12a-12e) is at least partially elliptical-shaped.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a filtering device comprising multiple filtering embodiments (3), the bodies of which define a longitudinal axis, said filtering elements (3) being arranged adjacently to one another in a housing such that the longitudinal axes of the filtering elements run parallel to one another. The bodies of at least some of the filtering elements (3) have a shape that deviates from a circular cylinder at least one part of the body length. The filtering device is characterized in that the filtering elements (3) with bodies that have a shape which deviates from a circular cylinder that have a cross-section the size of which at least partially changes from one end to the other end, and said filtering elements are oriented in the housing such that the regions of a larger cross-section are associated with the regions of a smaller cross-section in adjacent filtering elements.

Abstract:
A filter system for removing contaminants from oil based industrial liquids and the like includes a support tube with a permeable sidewall through which the industrial liquid flows in an inside out direction. A multilayer coalescence media surrounds the support tube, and includes at least one layer of a non-woven fibrous material that is partially wettable by the dispersed water in the industrial liquid, and commences coalescence of the same to form small primary water droplets, and at least one sheet of a precisely woven monofilament fabric stacked on the downstream side of the non-woven material. The woven fabric is substantially wettable by the dispersed water, and has a fixed open mesh with uniformly sized and spaced apart pore openings which continue to coalesce the primary water droplets into large water drops which fall from the filter for collection along the bottom of the apparatus.
Abstract:
The spray gun filter according to the invention for filtering liquid comprises a filter fabric and a filter support, which has outlet openings for the liquid and which surrounds the filter fabric from the outside.
