Abstract: Embodiments of an access point (AP), station (STA) and method of communication are generally described herein. The AP may include a used basic service set (BSS) color in a downlink physical layer convergence procedure protocol, data unit (PPDU). The used BSS color may indicate communication between the AP and associated STAs. The AP may detect another PPDU from an STA that is un associated with the AP. If a header portion of the detected PPDU includes the used BSS color, the AP may: determine an alternate BSS color, and transmit a color switch announcement (CSA) element that indicates the alternate BSS color. The CSA element may be configurable to further indicate whether the AP and the associated STAs are to switch, from the operating channel to an alternate channel for the communication.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable media for classification of basic service sets (BSS) based on transmission opportunity holder addresses are disclosed. Abstract: Embodiments of a station (STA), access point (AP) and method for communication in the presence of spatial reuse (SR) transmissions are generally described herein. An STA may determine a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) based on one or more inbound physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data units (PPDUs) received from a destination STA. The STA may determine, based at least partly on a comparison between the RSSI and a predetermined threshold, whether SR transmissions by other STAs in the channel are permissible. The SR transmissions may be concurrent to transmissions by the STA within the TXOP in the channel. The STA may transmit a PPDU to the destination STA that includes an SR indicator that indicates whether the SR transmissions are permissible.

Abstract: Methods, computer readable media, and wireless apparatuses are disclosed for trigger frame recovery. An apparatus of a wireless device is disclosed. The apparatus comprising processing circuitry configured to: encode a trigger frame comprising a resource allocation for one or more stations, where the trigger frame comprises a network allocation vector (NAV) duration. The processing circuitry may be further configured to configure the wireless device to transmit the trigger frame to the one or more stations. The processing circuitry may be further configured to configure the wireless device to contend for the wireless medium a first time, encode a retransmission of the trigger frame, and configure the wireless device to transmit the retransmission of the trigger frame to the one or more stations, if a frame is not received from the one or more stations in response to the trigger frame before a trigger frame timeout duration.

Abstract: An exemplary aspect is directed toward methods, apparatus, and systems related to spatial reuse with overlapping basic service set. A device may determine an overlapping basic service set (OBSS) associated with one or more access points. The device may then reduce a transmit power by a first margin. The device may then increase a packet detection threshold associated with the OBSS by a second margin. The device then sends an uplink data frame to at least one of the one or more access points.

Abstract: Embodiments of a low-power wake-up radio (LP-WUR) are generally described herein. In some embodiments, a wireless device is set to a first state or a second state, wherein in the first state the wireless device is configured to receive wake-up (WU) packets, and wherein in the second state the wireless device is configured to not receive WU packets, wherein the wireless device comprises a WLAN radio and a low-power wake-up radio (LP-WUR).In some embodiments, the wireless device is configured to receive a wake-up packet, turn on the WLAN radio and turn off the LP-WUR. In some embodiments, the wireless device is configured to turn off the WLAN radio and turn on the LP-WUR for power conservation. In some embodiments, the wireless device turns off the WLAN radio and turns off the LP-WUR, and can periodically turn on the LP-WUR radio for extreme power saving.

Abstract: Methods and devices are described for providing wireless stations (STAs) with two sets of enhanced distributed channel access (EDCA) parameters. Legacy EDCA parameters that are for single user (SU) operations and may be used by both high-efficiency (HE) STAs and legacy STAs without multi-user (MU) capability. MU EDCA parameters are defined to be more restrictive than legacy EDCA parameters in favoring MU operations. Embodiments are described that define sets of rules for regulating how STAs capable of both SU and MU uplink operations can use the different sets of EDCA parameters.

Abstract: Described herein are mechanisms to inform a first Neighbor Awareness Networking (NAN) device as to whether or not a second NAN device is connected to a dynamic frequency selection (DFS) master and/or whether the second NAN device is listening to the same DFS master as the first NAN device. In order for NAN client devices to operate in the 5 GHz band and be DFS compliant, all such devices that are communicating in a NAN peer-to-peer manner must either maintain association with a DFS master or must listen to the same DFS master for channel information.
