Abstract:
A system (100) and method (900) for routing customer transaction requests, such as electronic installment loan applications (101) is provided. The routing facilitates efficient workflow between a plurality of customer service centers (103, 104, 105) by generating a number within a predetermined range and associating it with the incoming customer transaction request. Each customer service center (103, 104, 105) has associated therewith a subset range of the predetermined range. A queue item builder (110) builds a queue item by querying a database (109) to determine to which customer service center (103, 104, 105) the customer transaction request is to be sent based upon the number and the subset ranges associated with each customer service center (103, 104, 105). A routing module (111) then directs the customer transaction request to the proper customer service center (103, 104, 105).
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a method of a kernel dumper module includes generating a dump file associated with a kernel when the kernel crashes, storing the dump file to a functional memory upon applying an overwrite protection to a core dump of the dump file, restarting the kernel through a warm reboot of the kernel such that the core dump is not erased from the functional memory, and transferring the core dump to a system file using the kernel.
Abstract:
In the field of current differential protection relays there is a need for improvements in or relating to the protection relays to allow them to accommodate current transformer saturation while maintaining a desired degree of reliability. A method of operating a current differential protection relay following a fault, the protection relay being electrically coupled to a protection zone of an electrical power system, comprises the steps of establishing a fault condition by discriminating between an internal fault inside the protection zone and an external fault outside the protection zone; and modifying the sensitivity of the protection relay according to the nature of the fault condition.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and computer program products for interacting with ISO 14443-4 and MIFARE® applications on the same wireless smart device during a common transaction are disclosed. According to one aspect, the method includes detecting and communicating with an ISO 14443-4 application located on a wireless smart device that includes an ISO 14443-4 and a MIFARE® application to perform at least part of the common transaction. Termination of the ISO 14443-4 application is detected, and the MIFARE® application located on the wireless smart device is detected and communicated with for performing at least part of the common transaction.
Abstract:
Proxy caching for directory services are presented. Requests for directory resources are intercepted and an inspection of cache is made to determine whether a resource being requested is identified in cache. When an identifier for the resource is identified in cache, a corresponding directory service associated with a cache entry for that resource is used to supply the resource; otherwise the resource is supplied by a directory service selected by policy.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an improved and single step process for producing cyanopiperidine by dehydrating respective piperidine carboxamide employing a suitable dehydrating agent.
Abstract:
Techniques for efficient KASUMI ciphering are disclosed. In one aspect, one KASUMI round for generating a fractional portion of the KASUMI cipher is deployed with appropriate feedback such that eight sequential rounds produce the KASUMI output. In another aspect, one third of the FO function is deployed with appropriate feedback such that three successive cycles produce the FO output. In yet another aspect, the FI function is deployed with appropriate feedback such that two subsequent cycles produce the FI output. In yet another aspect, a sub-key generator comprising two shift registers produces sub-keys for each round and sub-stage thereof in an efficient manner. These aspects, collectively, yield the advanced benefits of low area and low cost implementations of KASUMI with a simple user interface. Various other aspects of the invention are also presented.
Abstract:
A method (and system) for guaranteeing authenticity of an object, includes providing a sample of material obtainable only by at least one of chemical and physical processes such that the sample is random and not reproducible, associating a number reproducibly to the sample by using a specific reader, and forming at least one coded version of the number, the at least one coded version being obtained by a key signature, and the version being recorded into an area of the object.
Abstract:
A process for the preparation of prostaglandin compounds having the formula (I): wherein A is selected from the group consisting of C1–C6 alkyl groups; C7–C16 aralkyl groups wherein an aryl portion thereof is unsubstituted or substituted with one to three substituents selected from the group consisting of C1–C6 alkyl groups, halo and CF3; and (CH2)nOR′ wherein n is an integer from 1 to 3 and R′ represents a C6–C10 aryl group which is unsubstituted or substituted with one to three substituents selected from the group consisting of C1–C6 alkyl groups, halo and CF3; B is selected from OR″ and NHR″ wherein R″ is C1–C6 alkyl groups; and represents a double bond or a single bond, is disclosed. Novel intermediates are also disclosed.
Abstract:
An information handling system includes a base, a disc rotatably attached to the base, and an actuator assembly movably attached to the base the actuator assembly. An actuator assembly has an opening at the pivot therein. An actuator arm attached to the main body, and a voice coil motor is positioned within the opening of the actuator assembly. The voice coil motor also includes at least two magnets attached to the main body of the actuator arm. The magnets are arranged as a Halbach array. The voice coil motor is positioned within the opening of the actuator assembly, and near one end of the actuator assembly and at least one load spring and transducer are positioned at the other end of the actuator assembly.
