    Abstract: A wearable medical device comprising: a plurality of patient interface components each configured to interface with a patient; a first patient interface component of the plurality of patient interface components, the first patient interface component comprising a first sensing electrode for receiving one or more signals from a first patient, and a first therapy electrode for delivering a first treatment to the first patient; a second patient interface component of the plurality of patient interface components, the second patient interface component comprising a second sensing electrode for receiving one or more signals from a second patient; and one or more processors in communication with the plurality of patient interface components, the one or more processors configured to detect a first condition of the first patient based at least in part on the one or more signals from the first patient, cause the first treatment to be delivered to the first patient, wherein the first treatment is based at least in part on the detected first condition of the first patient, and detect a second condition of the second patient based at least in part on the one or more signals from the second patient.

    Abstract: According to at least one aspect, a wearable cardiac device is provided. The wearable cardiac device includes a garment worn about a torso of a patient, at least one sensing electrode to monitor cardiac activity of the patient, and a controller including a plurality of separate and distinct modules distributed about and/or integrated into the garment. The plurality of separate and distinct modules includes, for example, an operations module coupled to the at least one sensing electrode and configured to detect at least one cardiac condition of the patient and/or a communications module coupled to the operations module to communicate with an external device. In some examples, the wearable cardiac device may be configured as a treatment device and include an energy storage module coupled to at least one therapy electrode and configured to store energy for at least one therapeutic shock to be applied to the patient.

    Abstract: An ambulatory medical device capable of delivering therapy to a patient is provided. The ambulatory medical device comprises at least one controller operatively connected to at least one sensor configured to detect a health disorder of the patient, at least one treatment element configured to deliver therapy to the patient, and at least one response mechanism configured to be actuated by the patient, the at least one response mechanism having one of a first state and a second state. The at least one controller being configured to delay delivery of the therapy to patient for a first predetermined period of time responsive to detection of the health disorder and the at least one response mechanism having the first state, and to deliver the therapy to the patient in response to continued detection of the health disorder, the at least one response mechanism remaining in the first state.
