Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may transmit a grant to a first user equipment (UE) that indicates a resource allocation for a sidelink communication, either from the first UE to a second UE or from the second UE to the first UE. The grant may include a destination identifier associated with the sidelink communication, as well as a mapping between the resource allocation and the destination identifier. The destination identifier may be based on information in an indication received from the first UE. In some examples, the base station may configure a default receiver UE for transmissions from the first UE, and the base station may identify a receiver UE in the grant if the intended receiver UE is different than the default receiver UE.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for secondary cell activation using temporary reference signals are provided. In one aspect, a method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), includes receiving, from a base station (BS) via a first cell, an activation command to activate a second cell different from the first cell, and receiving, from the BS via the second cell during an activation period, a first reference signal different from a synchronization signal block (SSB). The method further includes performing a measurement of the first reference signal, and operating in the second cell based on the measurement. In some aspects, using reference signals different from SSBs may reduce the delay associated with activating the secondary cell.

Abstract: Methods and devices for discontinuous reception signaling for wireless communications systems are described. A base station may determine a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configuration and a discontinuous reception configuration (DRX) associated with the semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configuration for a user equipment (UE). The base station may transmit the SPS configuration to the UE. The SPS configuration may indicate one or more DRX parameters for the DRX configuration. A UE may receive the semi-persistent scheduling configuration from the base station. The UE may identify one or more DRX parameters for the discontinuous reception configuration based on the SPS configuration. The UE may monitor a downlink control channel in accordance with the DRX configuration.

A network entity, such as a base station, may receive, from a first network entity, a broadcast indicating a downlink control channel transmission pattern associated with the first network entity. The network entity may monitor a plurality of receive beams for a plurality of downlink control channel transmissions from the first network entity according to the downlink control channel transmission pattern and may select a communication beam according to one or more cross-link interference (CLI) measurements associated with one or more of the plurality of receive beams in accordance with the monitoring. The network entity may communicate with a user equipment using the selected communication beam and a first set of resources that at least partially overlap in time and frequency with a scheduled communication at the first network entity. The network entity may experience or may cause the measured CLI.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support use of common sequence pools for non-coherent transmissions according to one or more aspects. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes converting, by a wireless communication device, an information bit stream to an integer value. The method also includes selecting, by the wireless communication device, a sequence from a common sequence pool based on the integer value. The common sequence pool has a nested structure of sequences which map different length information bit streams with the same most significant bit or bits to the same sequences. The method further includes transmitting, by the wireless communication device, a non-coherent transmission indicating the sequence. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes determining a number (M) of candidate downlink transmission occasions for a time period, determining a maximum number (k) of simultaneous downlink transmissions the UE can receive during the time period, receiving one or more downlink transmissions during the time period from a base station, and determining a type of encoding for the HARQ feedback based on: (i) a number of the one or more downlink transmissions received, (ii) the number (M) of candidate downlink transmission occasions for the time period, and/or (iii) the maximum number (k) of simultaneous downlink transmissions.

Abstract: Techniques for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive downlink control information (DCI) scheduling sidelink transmissions in one or more sets of multiple transmission time intervals (TTIs) over a shared spectrum. The UE may perform a listen-before-talk (LBT) for one or more of the TTIs in the one or more sets of multiple TTIs, and the UE may transmit, to a base station, an indication of results of the LBT performed for the one or more TTIs. Because the UE may provide the results of the LBT to the base station, the base station may be able to schedule sidelink transmissions from the UE based on the results of the LBT. As such, the UE may experience increased throughput in sidelink communications since the scheduling at the base station may be improved.
