    Abstract: Systems and methods of processing produce are provided. A sizing unit can convey the produce in a first direction, and can release the produce onto a receiving unit, which can convey the produce in a second direction. The receiving unit can include a trough to receive the produce subsequent to release from the sizing unit. A supplemental conveyor unit can guide the produce through at least one channel to convey the produce from the receiving unit to at least one conveyor unit, which can convey the produce into contact with at least one other conveyor unit to separate a first portion of the produce from a second portion of the produce.

    Abstract: An apparatus for transferring products such as eggs from a first conveyor to a second conveyor. During transfer products with certain properties which have been previously detected are allowed to fall into a gap between the conveyors. The transfer uses a rotatable cylinder with radially extending grippers having an open position and a closed position. When a gripper does not grip a product it falls into a gap between the conveyors. Other products are gripped and transferred to the second conveyor. A method for transferring products from a first conveyor to a second conveyor wherein products having certain properties are removed and caused to fall down into a gap between the first and second conveyors. A detected signal upstream from the gap to control positioning of grippers to either transfer products to the second conveyor or allow them to fall into a gap between the two conveyors.

    Abstract: A bean sprouts-like articles transfer conveyor is provided in which bean sprouts-like articles are uniformly delivered from a delivery end of a transfer conveyor without loss and in a dispersed state. The transfer conveyor device comprises a transfer conveyor (3) and an air supply means. The transfer conveyor (3) has a permeability and turns at its both ends so as to run endlessly and also has its outer surface provided with needle members (5). The air supply means leads air to an inner side of the transfer conveyor (3) at a delivery end (15) thereof so that the air ejected from an air ejecting port (25) is blown out from the surface of the transfer conveyor (3) provided with the needle members (5) through the transfer conveyor (3) having the permeability.
