Abstract:
In a camera lens group having both glass and plastic lenses mounted in a lens frame, where at least one of the lenses is movable along the optical axis, a spacing member and a resiliently deformable member are each arranged in an interval between lenses in the lens group. The resiliently deformable member biases one of the lenses away from the spacing member, and the spacing member reduces the range of possible movement of the movable lens.
Abstract:
In a voltage converter which is disposed in a semiconductor integrated circuit so as to lower an external supply voltage and to feed the lowered voltage to a partial circuit of the integrated circuit, the voltage converter is constructed so as to produce an output voltage suited to an ordinary operation in the ordinary operation state of the semiconductor integrated circuit and an aging voltage in the aging test of the circuit.
Abstract:
A blood separating composition for use in blood collection tubes, the composition having an absolute viscosity of 100,000-320,000 cP at 25.degree. C. at a shear rate of 1 sec.sup.-1 when the blood separating composition turns into its dynamic state from its stationary state, with a reduced viscosity of 50,000 cP or more at a shear rate of 10 sec.sup.-1 in the dynamic state. The absolute viscosity of said composition is 100,000-300,000 cP at the shear rate of 1 sec.sup.-1 when returning to the stationary state. Such a viscosity renders stable and less flowable and blood separating composition during storage, allowing it to form a stable partition barrier in each collection tube when centrifuged to separate the blood phases one from another, with the blood cells above the barrier being prevented from remaining within the serum. The blood separating composition does not release any harmful oily substance or the like.

A zoom lens having a plurality of movable lens groups, and an apparatus which is used to adjust the position of the rearmost lens group of the plurality of movable lens groups in the optical axis direction upon assembly of the zoom lens, so that a focal point of the zoom lens does not deviate upon zooming.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes a constant voltage generator for generating a voltage based on a difference between threshold voltages of two MOS transistors, and a voltage sampling device for sampling the output voltage of the constant voltage generator circuit, wherein the voltage sampling device samples the output voltage of the constant voltage generator before an electric source switch for the constant voltage generator is turned off.
Abstract:
A method of reducing elevated intraocular pressure which comprises administering the compound of the formula (1): ##STR1## or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to patients suffering from abnormally elevated intraocular pressure is provided. A pharmaceutical formulation containing the compound of the formula (1) as an essential component is also provided.
Abstract:
A mounting apparatus of a flexible board which connects a first electrical member, movable in an optical axis direction, to a second electrical member, which is movable relative to the first electrical member. The apparatus includes a cylindrical support provided between the first and second electrical members, and an axially elongated mounting opening is provided in the cylindrical support, in which the flexible board can be received. An elastically deformable mounting member is fitted in the mounting opening by elastically deforming the same. The elastically deformable mounting member holds the flexible board, which is wrapped around the mounting member, in a manner such that the bent portion of the flexible board is perpendicular to the direction of relative movement of the first and second electrical members.
Abstract:
An active torque-split control system for actively controlling a distribution of driving torque applied to front and rear wheels in a four-wheel drive vehicle employing a transfer device including a transfer clutch for varying said driving torque distribution depending on the operating state of the vehicle, comprises sensors for monitoring the operating state, and a torque-split controller for switching from a normal torque-split control mode to a rigid torque-split control mode only when the controller determines that the vehicle is operated in a warning region closer to a critical state. The normal torque-split control mode corresponds to a first mode that the rear-wheel driving torque gets priority over the front-wheel driving torque, while the second controllable torque corresponds to a second mode that the transfer ratio of the front-wheel driving torque is quickly increased to be substantially equal to that of the rear-wheel driving torque so as to obtain a front-wheel speed substantially equal to a rear-wheel speed.
Abstract:
An inspection device for detecting defects in a periodic pattern on a semiconductor wafer includes a laser oscillator. In the exposure process, light emitted from the laser oscillator is divided into a subject beam and a reference beam. The subject beam is guided to a semiconductor wafer having a periodic pattern thereon by mirrors and a beam expander. The light scattered from the specimen is collected by a lens on a photographic plate. The reference beam is guided to the photographic plate via a second beam expander and another mirror. The intensity of the reference beam is adjusted to a level at which the reference beams interferes on the photographic plate with the light scattered from defects in the periodic pattern and collected by the lens. Thus, a hologram of the defects in the pattern is recorded on the photographic plate. After development, the photographic plate is returned to its original position and used to form a holographic image of the defects with a transmitted regeneration light beam.
