Abstract: A system described herein may provide for the use of artificial intelligence/machine learning (“AI/ML”) techniques to generate models for various locations or regions (e.g., sectors) associated with one or more radio access networks (“RANs”) of a wireless network. The system may determine Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”) or other attributes that are of particular relevance or importance for a given sector model, and may determine actions to perform with respect to particular sectors in order to enhance performance according to the KPIs that are of particular relevance to a sector model determined with respect to the particular sectors.

Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide for intelligent differentiated retransmissions in Radio Access Networks (RANs), such as Fifth Generation New Radio (5G-NR) networks, to provide consistent low latency for different service requirements. A network device determines if consistent low latency is required for a communication session requested by a user equipment (UE) device. The network device selects, based on the determining, retransmission settings for the communication session and sends the retransmission settings to an access station of a radio access network (RAN).

Abstract: A system described herein may provide for the use of modeling techniques to generate models associated with various locations or regions (e.g., sectors) associated with one or more radio access networks (“RANs”) of a wireless network, as well as for one or more mobile radio units (“MRUs”) that include wireless network infrastructure and which may be dynamically moved from one location to another. The system may identify attributes of a location within the network at which the MRU is located, and may automatically configure base stations of the RAN as well as the wireless network infrastructure of the MRU in order to optimize the operation of the RAN, as well as to gain optimal usage of the MRU.

Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a mobility management service is provided. The service may evaluate geospatial, performance metric, and neighbor criteria data relating to overlap areas between source cells and candidate target cells. The service may calculate composite values for each candidate target cell and select the candidate target cell based on the composite value. The service may manage the mobility of end devices and associated mobility procedures on a sub-sector, sector, cell, and cluster of cell level. The service may reconfigure network devices and the end device to satisfy optimization, healing, and site planning measures.

The system may determine network parameter modifications based on the granular measures of energy efficiency, and/or provide such measures of energy efficiency to the one or more network elements, which may grant access to UEs 109 based on the granular measures of energy efficiency. The one or more network elements may make network parameter modifications based on the granular measures of energy efficiency, such as activating “sleep” or “suspend” modes, and/or otherwise performing energy saving techniques.

Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a beamforming-based detection service is provided. A radio device of a radio access network may receive radio information relating to a location. A current radio contour of the location may be generated based on signal and noise data. The current radio contour may be compared to a default radio contour of the location. The current radio contour may be compared to an event-based radio contours that indicate various events. A determination may be made whether an event has occurred based on a result of the comparison. A response may be provided when the event is detected.

Abstract: One or more network devices create, in a network, a network slice with multiple network slice instances (NSIs) having multiple slice instance variations, where each of the multiple slice instance variations services a slice variation type and one of multiple slice variation levels. The slice variation type corresponds to a first performance characteristic of one or more performance characteristics met by the network slice while servicing sessions and the multiple slice variation levels sub-divide the slice variation type into multiple different levels of service within the slice variation type. The one or more network devices allocate, instantiate, and provision virtual resources for each of the multiple NSIs; and services User Equipment (UE) sessions via one of the multiple slice instance variations based on UE selection of one of the multiple slice variation levels of the slice variation type.
