Abstract: Embodiments of the present application provide communication methods and systems. One method comprises receiving, from a first access network device, signaling destined for a terminal device, wherein the terminal device is in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive mode. A first paging message is sent to a second access network device for paging the terminal device and first indication information is received indicating that the terminal device is connected to a second access network device. After receiving the signaling destined for the terminal device, the first access network device can learn the terminal device has connected to the second access network device, and therefore performs proper subsequent processing.

Abstract: System information block transmission methods and communication apparatus are provided to resolve a problem that a terminal device cannot receive, on an active bandwidth part, a system information block broadcast by a network device. A network device sends a system information block to a terminal device through a first bandwidth part. Abstract: A data transmission method and an apparatus are provided. The method includes: determining, by a base station, a time-domain interval of available time-frequency resources in an unlicensed spectrum, where the available time-frequency resources are continuous time-frequency resources in a time domain; sending, by the base station, a preamble signal in a first subframe in the interval, where the first subframe is an initial subframe in the interval; and sending, by the base station, downlink control information and data after sending the preamble signal, where the data is in the first subframe, the downlink control information includes scheduling indication information, and the scheduling indication information is used to indicate a frequency-domain location of the data. According to the present invention, spectrum utilization can be improved.

Abstract: This application relates to the field of communication technologies, and discloses a communication method and apparatus. The method includes: A terminal device receives first indication information, where the first indication information indicates a target monitoring occasion of first control information, and then, the terminal device may monitor the first control information on the target monitoring occasion, where the first control information is used to schedule information about a multicast service. The target monitoring occasion includes at least one of a plurality of monitoring occasions of the first control information. In this manner, an access network device sends the first indication information to the terminal device to indicate the target monitoring occasion, so that the terminal device can perform monitoring on the target monitoring occasion. Compared with a manner in which a terminal device performs monitoring on a plurality of monitoring occasions of first control information, this manner reduces unnecessary monitoring.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus are provided. The method includes: An access network device sends DCI for a paging message to a terminal device, where the DCI includes scheduling information for downlink data. The access network device further sends first indication information included in the paging message to the terminal device, wherein the first indication information indicates that first downlink data corresponds to the terminal device. Therefore, when determining that there is downlink data to arrive, the terminal device determines a time-frequency location of the downlink data based on the scheduling information that is for the downlink data and that is in the DCI, and then receives the downlink data at the time-frequency location. According to the method and the apparatus provided in this application, a small amount of downlink data is transmitted, resource utilization is improved, and power consumption of the terminal device is reduced.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a communication method, an apparatus, and a system. The communication method includes: receiving, by a terminal device, a context identifier sent by a second radio access network device, and sending, to a first radio access network device, a first message that includes the context identifier; receiving, by a core network device, a second message sent by the first radio access network device, and sending, to the second radio access network device, a message that includes the context identifier; and receiving, by the core network device, context information of the terminal device that is sent by the second radio access network device, and sending the context information to the first radio access network device. Therefore, communication between the first radio access network device and the second radio access network device is ensured, and working efficiency is improved.
