    Abstract: Device for acquiring images inside a vehicle, comprising an illuminator to illuminate a field of view, an image sensor that is arranged to acquire images from the field of view, and an optical element having a light-transparent portion and a light-blocking portion, wherein the light-transparent portion is arranged so that light of the illuminator being emitted to the field of view passes through the light-transparent portion, and wherein the light-blocking portion is arranged to block light of the illuminator being emitted in a direction towards the image sensor.

    Abstract: A control system with multiple brake-pedal selected disengagement-modes for an automated vehicle includes a brake-pedal and a controller. The brake-pedal is used to detect a plurality of pedal-action-classifications based on one of pedal-force, depression-duration, and a combination of pedal-force and depression-duration. The controller is in communication with the brake-pedal. The controller operates the system into a first-mode in response to the brake-pedal being operated in accordance with a first-action-classification, and into a second-mode in response to the brake-pedal being operated in accordance with a second-action-classification different from the first-action-classification.

    Abstract: A tunnel detection system for a motor vehicle comprises a radiofrequency signal receiver provided to receive a radiofrequency signal coming from a source external to the vehicle; a controller communicating with the radiofrequency signal receiver, the controller being configured to detect at least one amplitude variation in the radiofrequency signal received by the receiver; the controller is configured to determine at least one correspondence level representative of the difference between the detected amplitude variation in the radiofrequency signal and at least one predetermined reference signal amplitude variation representative of the amplitude variation in a signal received by the receiver when the receiver travels into a tunnel; the controller is configured to compare the determined correspondence level with a predetermined minimum correspondence threshold, and detect the tunnel being travelled through by the detection system when the determined correspondence level is greater than or equal to the predetermined minimum correspondence threshold.

    Abstract: A video-camera device comprises a motherboard, and a daughterboard comprising a video-camera module the optical axis of which is perpendicular to a main plane of the daughterboard. The motherboard includes a rigid main segment comprising image-processing electronic components. The motherboard including a secondary segment made of the same material as, and integrally formed with, the main segment. The secondary segment is partially surrounded by a void. The secondary segment has a rectilinear border defining the junction between the main segment and the secondary segment. The rectilinear border defines a pivot axis of the secondary segment. The daughterboard is mounted perpendicularly on the secondary segment in such a way that the secondary segment is inclinable relative to the surface of the main segment about the pivot axis in order to allow the angle of inclination between the optical axis of the video-camera module and the main segment to be adjusted.

    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a sealed electrical wire harness includes the steps of providing an equipped connector housing with electrical terminals inserted within the equipped connector housing and with electrical wires attached and electrically connected to the electrical terminals, providing an injection molding tool suitable for injecting sealing material, placing the equipped connector housing into the injection molding tool, closing the injection molding tool, filling the equipped connector housing with sealing material, thereby distributing the sealing material inside the equipped connector housing to a wire inlet portion, a connector position assurance holder portion, and an interface portion, and removing the sealed electrical wire harness from the injection molding tool.
