Abstract: Provided are methods and systems for video data processing. In an exemplary system, there is a video source and a display unit. The display unit may receive video data from the video source and display it at a first refresh rate. The video source may cause the display unit to enter a power economy mode, in which the displayed video is static. In this mode, the video source stops sending new video data, while the display unit selectively stores one or more of the previously received video frames and further displays it repeatedly at a second refresh rate, which may be lower than the first refresh rate (e.g., it may be decreased from 60 Hz to 40 Hz). In the power economy mode, the power consumed is decreased, in some embodiments, by about 10-20 % for both the video source and the display unit.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a plurality of queues are established corresponding to each of a plurality mobiles, respectively. Data packets associated with the plurality of mobiles are received at a network element. Each received data packet is assigned to a corresponding one of the plurality of queues. A determination operation is performed on a selected one of the plurality of queues to determine whether or not to send one or more packets of each queue from the network gateway element. The determination operation is performed based on a comparison between a packet size of a head packet and an adaptive transmission threshold value associated with the selected queue. The adaptive transmission threshold value is a value that is changed based on an amount data sent from the selected queue. The head data packet being an earliest received data packet in the selected queue.

Abstract: A system and method for efficient transfer of backup data over multiple networks. A backup server and a client computer are coupled to one another via a network, such as a local area network (LAN). The backup server is coupled to at least one storage server via another network, such as the Internet. This storage server is coupled to another storage server via at least two networks, such as the Internet and a Fiber Channel connection. The at least two networks are discovered and initialized by the two storage servers. Two or more networks may be bonded together in a single logical communication channel for transferring backup data. In one embodiment, the backup data corresponds to a duplication operation. When two or more network channels are included in the logical communication channel, a load balancing scheme is used to assign backup data traffic to appropriate network channels.
