Abstract:
Described is a method and an apparatus for coating a plastic container, especially a PET bottle, and a conveying means therefor that permit, in a constructionally simple manner, an inexpensive and effective improvement of the barrier properties thereof. To this end, the container is provided on its outside with a liquid coating agent by at least one rotating atomizer, and the coating is subsequently dried.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a device for intermittently conveying packages which are conveyed in a first moving direction in package carriers (2) in a first processing plane in positions underneath various treatment stations and are conveyed back in a second return motion plane in a second moving direction that is parallel in relation to the first moving direction, whereby a conveying cycle is formed. The aim of the invention is to enable such a device to be efficient, compact and be operated using simple devices. According to the invention, the respectively superimposed ends of the essentially horizontal first conveyor (19) in the first processing plane and of the essentially horizontal third conveyor (12) in the second return motion plane are connected to one another for forming the conveying cycle by means of vertically acting second and fourth lifting conveyors (9, 15). Each conveyor (9, 19, 12, 15) has a separate drive (22-24). A third loading plane is arranged between the first processing plane and the second return motion plane. The three planes are arranged in an essentially horizontal manner. Each package carrier (2) is constructed in an even manner and is held in a horizontal position by means of the conveyor cycle. Means for loading and unloading the packages into and/or from the package carriers (2) are provided in the region of the third loading plane in a loading direction which is parallel in relation to the first moving direction of the packages.
Abstract:
A device for inverting hollow bodies gripped by the neck, characterized in that it includes a series of gripper mounted at the periphery of a rotary wheel and each of which is adapted to grip a hollow body by the neck, and each gripper is mounted on a wheel so as to be tilted between a first and a second position, and each gripper is designed to grip the neck of the hollow body at two substantially opposite points on either side of the neck axis, and the gripper is designed to cause the neck of the hollow body to be engaged in the gripper by one side of the gripper and to be released by the other side of the gripper, with substantially radial movements relative to the neck axis.
Abstract:
An apparatus for the handling of containers comprising a frame and a plate that is removably fixed to the frame. The plate is disposed on the frame in a raised position and supports from above one or more distribution units and/or one or more operating units. The motor drives for the distribution units and/or operating units are disposed above the units.
Abstract:
A transfer head (1) in a pallettiser (2) for containers (3) or (23), in particular bottles, comprising a plurality of channels (6) or (22) for receiving the bottles (3) or (23) which are suspended by the neck. The channels (6) or (22) are mobile in a direction which is perpendicular to the direction of container reception into the channels, between a first, container receiving position and a second, packing position. A connecting rod (8) mounted on the head and rotating about a point (9) is connected to the channels (6) or (22) in such a way that, following a connecting rod rotation about the point (9), the channels (6) or (22) are moved towards and away from one another, from the receiving position to the packaging position and vice versa.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for packaging containers, of the type having an engagement lip, wherein the apparatus includes tacks to engage the engagement lip to move the containers from starting point to a delivery point. The containers are moved by the apparatus while being engaged by the track such that the containers are never free from the track until loaded on a pallet. A set of the containers is constricted into a bundle and the bundle is then resquared and set on a pallet. One a pallet includes a sufficient number of bundles the pallet is bound for shipment or storage.
Abstract:
An apparatus for processing plastic hollow bodies has a blow-moulding station, a device for introducing thereinto a sequence of trains of preforms, an ejection station adapted to separate the ejected hollow bodies, and devices provided downstream of the ejection station to handle the hollow bodies, the devices including a conveyor belt capable of being driven by a pulley and provided with plugs adapted to pick up the hollow bodies. The pulley is provided on its outer surface with a plurality of ejectors that are arranged to sequentially engage and disengage the pick-up plugs so as to release the blow-moulded hollow bodies therefrom. Beneath said ejectors there is arranged a guide which is adapted to intercept the so released hollow bodies, and which is provided with two parallel rails adapted to retain the hollow bodies by their neck portion and push them, preferably with jets of blown air, towards their utilization apparatuses.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for the handling of containers, in particular bottles. In particular, the present invention relates to an apparatus (1) for the handling of containers (24), comprising a frame (2) and a plate (3) disposed on the said frame in a raised position, the said plate (3) supporting from above one or more distribution units (4, 5, 6) and/or one or more operating units (7), the motor drive (18) of the said one or more distribution units (4, 5, 6) and of the said one or more operating units (7) being disposed above the said units, characterized in that it comprises removable fixing means (16) for fixing the said plate (3) to the said frame (2).
Abstract:
A device for conveying objects having a neck along a given direction having at least one pressure chamber capable of projecting an air flow on the objects along the conveying direction, and a support rail oriented along the conveying direction. The device includes transport shuttles fixed to the neck of the objects and cooperating with the support rail.
Abstract:
An air conveyor apparatus is adapted for conveying bottle containers having a neck ring with an outer diameter dimension. The conveyor apparatus includes a first air conveyor section and a second air conveyor section. The first air conveyor section has a first conveying slot extending longitudinally therethrough in a downstream direction. The first conveying slot is defined by a first pair of mutually opposed, laterally spaced, substantially horizontal flanges. The first pair of flanges are laterally spaced by a distance smaller than the outer diameter dimension of the container neck rings so that the containers can be conveyed with the neck rings sliding in a friction engagement along the first pair of flanges as the containers are conveyed through the first air conveyor section. The second air conveyor section has a second conveying slot extending longitudinally therethrough in the downstream direction. The second conveying slot is defined by a second pair of mutually opposed, laterally spaced, substantially horizontal flanges. The second pair of flanges are also spaced by a distance smaller than the outer diameter dimension of the container neck rings so that the containers can be conveyed with the neck rings sliding in a friction engagement along the second pair of flanges as the containers are conveyed through the second air conveyor section. The second air conveyor section is coupled with the first air conveyor section in a manner so that the second conveying slot receives the containers from the first air conveyor section for continued conveyance of the containers in the downstream direction. An upstream end of the second pair of flanges is proximate a downstream end of the first pair of flanges. The first and second air conveyor sections are coupled with one another in a manner so that the downstream end of the first pair of flanges is spaced slightly above the upstream end of the second pair of flanges.
