摘要: A television receiver which receives an ATSC multi-program stream for a single major channel and generates a status display which displays the major channel identifier and a plurality of indicators, each corresponding to a respective one of the minor channels associated with the major channel. The indicator corresponding to the minor channel that is currently selected is highlighted with respect to the other indicators. The television receiver includes an image format converter and the status display also includes information concerning the format of the received signal and any format conversion that is currently being performed. The television receiver is also coupled to a digital VCR via a digital communications link. The digital television receiver generates a control panel for the digital VCR on the display device of the television receiver, and includes a facility for receiving commands for the digital VCR, sending the commands to the digital VCR via the digital communications link displaying the current status of the digital VCR. The television receiver maintains the status display for the digital VCR, by sending a status change request to the digital VCR immediately after receiving any status change information, whereby the VCR responds to the status change request only on a subsequent change in its operational status.

摘要: A door opening and closing mechanism, wherein a swinging door to cover an opening for loading, unloading, or exchanging discs comprises two doors, an upper door (14) and a lower door (13), each of which is supported by pivots (14a) and (13a). The opening is covered, when closing the doors, with the two doors, the upper door (14) and the lower door (13), by an interlocking motion by engaging a sliding guide (14b) provided on the upper door (14) and a sliding pin (13b) provided on the lower door (13). When opening the doors, the lower door (13) is nested inside the upper door (14) guided by pivots (14a), (13a), the sliding guide (14b), and the sliding pin (13b), whereby the amount of the projection of the doors when open corresponds to the projection only of the upper door (14).

摘要: The present invention relates to a soldering alloy composed mainly of Sn and free from lead which is a toxic substance. An addition of a small quantity of Ag to the soldering alloy can fine the alloy structure, minimize structural changes of the alloy and increase thermal fatigue resistance thereof. An addition of a small quantity of Bi to the soldering alloy lowers the melting point and improves the wettability thereof. Further, an addition of a small quantity of Cu restrains the growth of intermetallic compounds in the bonding interface between a copper land and the solder. Furthermore, an addition of a small quantity of In improves the elongation property and thermal fatigue resistance of the alloy.

摘要: A semiconductor device of the invention is provided with a charge-discharge capacitor and plural charge collecting capacitors which are respectively connected in parallel to the charge-discharge capacitor via switches. The charge-discharge capacitor is not only connected to a power source via a switch but also connected to a circuit for discharging via another switch. By controlling the switches which are used to turn on and off the connections between the charge collecting capacitors and the charge-discharge capacitor, charge is collected to the charge collecting capacitors in order of the electric potential, namely from the lower potential to the higher, and then the charge moves back to the charge-discharge capacitor in reverse order and is recycled. As a result, the charge recycling rate is raised to 50% or more, and the electric power to be consumed can be further decreased. Moreover this invention can be applied to a refresh operation for the identical memory-cell-array. It is preferable to include means for switching charge collecting capacitors to be connected in parallel and in series, so that charge is collected when the charge collecting capacitors are connected in parallel, and the charge is recycled when the charge collecting capacitors are connected in series, so that the charge recycling rate will be further raised.
