    摘要: An electronic system to operate an electromechanical parking brake for a land vehicle comprises at least one input unit to detect a driver request for parking brake and at least two control units in connection with the input unit to evaluate the driver request for parking brake transmitted thereto. The control units are in connection with at least one actuator for activating the parking brake, in order to control said actuator. In addition, the system comprises an energy supply to feed the input unit, and the control units of the at least one actuator. On occurrence of a single fault from a set of possible fault states in the system, at least one control unit and at least one actuator are supplied with energy and/or control signals, the at least one control unit supplied controls the at least one actuator supplied so that the land vehicle is fixed in a parked position when a corresponding driver request for parking brake is present.

    摘要: The invention relates to an improved plunger assembly for a vehicle brake system. The plunger assembly is operable as a pressure source to control brake fluid pressure supplied to one or more wheel brakes. The plunger assembly comprises a housing defining a cylinder; a reversible motor supported by the housing and having a rotor; and a linear actuator such as a ball screw/nut mechanism driven by the motor. A plunger head is mounted in the cylinder and driven by the linear actuator in first and second opposite directions. Improvements include an elastomeric tubular torque coupler connected to a ball screw/nut anti-rotation member; and a clamped connection at an inner race of a motor bearing for securing the rotor to the ball screw/nut component.

    摘要: A vehicular console storage system has a pivotable lid and a striker movable with the lid. A pawl is mounted in a fixed location for selectably receiving the striker, wherein the pawl is movable between a latching position and a release position. The pawl holds the striker so that the lid is held closed when in the latching position, and the pawl has a cam surface. A spring-loaded cam follower is at least in partial contact with the cam surface and is movable between an extended position and a retracted position to provide a first resistance to motion of the pawl from the latching position to the release position. The first resistance is easily overcome by manual manipulation by a user. A movable lever has an activated position and a deactivated position, wherein the activated position interferes with movement of the pawl from the latching position to the release position. An inertial sensor is provided for moving the movable lever to the activated position in response to a predetermined acceleration. Thus, an integrated mechanism provides both hard locking during a crash event and soft latching for easy user access without requiring a manually operated button or latch.
