摘要： A heating system has a heating unit with a combustion chamber for burning wood pellets or other pelletized fuel. The heating unit is controlled by a process control module that automatically keeps all operating functions within predetermined limits for safe, efficient and easy operation. The unit also includes a combustion air distribution assembly with a stir shaft that rotates within the combustion chamber and introduces combustion air through orifices along the length of the shaft to enhance fuel combustion. A thermo cycle plumbing assembly serves as a safety feature by preventing overheating in the event of a power failure or pump failure. Also included in the unit is a removable insulated firebox burn chamber that provides a high temperature combustion atmosphere and a heat/particulate recovery module which provides maximum heating efficiency and reduces emissions, meeting EPA requirements and contributing to a cleaner environment.

摘要： A device constituting an improved boiler design. The heat exchanger, known in the art as a pancake, is composed of an asymmetrical grid of interconnected hollow eliptical conduits through which flow the heat transfer fluid. In one embodiment of the invention, two pancakes are connected in series in such a way that their asymmetry is complementary. Such an arrangement is claimed to increase the efficiency of heat transfer and reduce the frequency of cleaning of the boiler when compared to boilers in the known art.

摘要： A boiler has a chamber to contain a charge of wood that rests on the bottom of the chamber with the major portion of the charge within a water jacketed upper portion of the chamber but free to settle as combustion progresses. Combustion is confined to the bottom portion of the chamber due to the cooling effect of the water jacket and to a turbulent cross draft in the combustion zone. A special venturi section in the flue coupled with a pressure blower both induces the flow of hot gases from the combustion zone through a second chamber and a heat exchanger and also provides a stream of air from the venturi section to create the cross draft. An oil burner may be used in conjunction with the second chamber as an alternate heat source. The boiler also has a special base construction and assembly features.

摘要： Heating apparatus for imparting heat to a fluid comprising a heating unit formed from at least two bodies of heat conducting material. Each body has an elongated groove and opposite longitudinal edges of the groove are defined by a first and second set respectively of spaced parallel walls upstanding on a base and defining respectively two rows of spaced parallel channels which communicate respectively with said opposite longitudinal edges of the associated groove. The two bodies are connected together with the walls of the first and second sets of one of the bodies disposed respectively in the channels defined between the first and second sets of the other body, the thickness of the walls relatively to the spacing between adjacent walls of each set being arranged so that when said two bodies are connected together as aforesaid the walls of the first sets of the two bodies define a plurality of inlet orifices through which a fuel/air mixture can enter a combustion chamber formed by the two grooves of the two bodies whereas the walls of the second sets of the two bodies define a plurality of outlet passages through which products of combustion can leave said combustion chamber.

摘要： A plurality of water conducting hollow members are assembled side by side and are interconnected by water ducts to enable water to circulate therethrough. Tie bars pass through the water ducts and have ends projecting through the end walls of the assembled hollow members, the tie bar ends being received in, and affixed to, sockets whereby the assembled members are anchored by the tie bars between the sockets to form a hot water radiator unit. Tie members clasp the side walls of the unit, the tie members being U-shaped elements having free ends with notches and the hollow members having ribs engaged by the notches.
