    摘要: Techniques to improve query caching performance by efficiently selecting queries stored in a cache for evaluation and increasing the cache hit rate by allowing for inexact matches. A list of candidate queries stored in the cache that potentially could be used to answer a new query is first determined. This list may include all cached queries, cached queries containing exact matches for select list items, or cached queries containing exact and/or inexact matches. Each of at least one candidate query is then evaluated to determine whether or not there is a cache hit, which indicates that the candidate query could be used to answer the new query. The evaluation is performed using a set of rules that allows for inexact matches of aggregates, if any, in the new query. A query plan is generated for the new query based on a specific candidate query with a cache hit.

    摘要: A method for determining a free connecting line in a switching center having a number of subscriber access units is provided. The access units are controlled by a switching center. At least one group of transmission lines of a subscriber access unit and, possibly, a group of lines of the line trunk group form a logical group of lines, which connects the switching center to another switching center. When an incoming or outgoing call which is intended for another switching center occurs at the subscriber access unit, a check is carried out to determine whether a connecting line which leads away from this subscriber access unit in the group of lines is free for a call, and, if one of these connecting lines is free, a connection is set up to the other switching center via this connecting line.

    摘要: A system and method for controlling evaporative emissions of a volatile fuel. The system preferably has a fuel vapor collection canister, a purge valve, an isolation valve, and a fuel tank. The fuel vapor collection canister includes a supply port and a discharge port. The purge valve includes an inlet port and an outlet port. The inlet port of the purge valve is in fluid communication with the discharge port of the fuel vapor collection canister. The isolation valve includes a housing, a valve body, and a seal. The housing has a first port in fluid communication with the supply port of the fuel vapor collection canister, a second port, and a fuel vapor flow path that extends between the first and second ports. The valve body is movable with respect to the housing along an axis between a first configuration and a second configuration. The first configuration permits substantially unrestricted fuel vapor flow between the first and second ports, and the second configuration substantially prevents fuel vapor flow between the first and second ports. The seal, which is located at an interface between the housing and the valve body, includes an annular lip that projects obliquely toward the axis in the first configuration. The fuel tank is in fluid communication with the second port of the isolation valve. Thus, the fuel tank can be isolated from the fuel vapor collection canister while purging the fuel vapor collection canister.

    摘要: A vapor purge system that permits evaluation of the system with a minimum number of hoses and connections, and without the use of additional components. The system includes a valve having first and second ports in communication with a first chamber and a third port in communication with a second chamber, the first and second chambers being defined by a metering member that divides an internal volume of a housing. A diagnostic member having first and second operative states is in communication with the first chamber through the second port. The first operative state prohibits communication with an exterior of the valve, and the second operative state permits communication with the exterior. The diagnostic member provides the ability to reliably measure flow through the valve. The system can use two (2) hoses including three (3) connections from a vapor supply port connected with the first port to the third port operatively connected with a manifold.

    摘要: An inertial sensor arrangement comprises a fiber gyro which responds to the horizontal component of the angular rate of the earth. A fiber coil of the fiber gyro is arranged at a positioning frame which is supported for rotation about a vertical axis relative to a housing. The positioning frame can be rotatably adjusted and mechanically locked into three fixed positions. Signals obtained thereby provide a measured value of the angle formed between a reference direction and north. Inclination sensors are provided for determining the inclination of the inertial sensor arrangement. The fiber coil inclusive of the positioning frame and two inclination sensors are mounted at a rigid sensor block which is connected to the housing in heat insulating manner.
