Such a toner is also provided with high blocking resistance. A toner for developing electrostatic latent images containing a binder resin, a colorant, and a lubricant, wherein the lubricant comprises a modified polyethylene wax which is obtained by homopolymerizing ethylene or copolymerizing ethylene and an .alpha.-olefin having 3 to 10 carbon atoms in the presence of a metallocene catalyst and modifying the resulting homo- or copolymer by grafting thereto a styrene monomer and/or an unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer, the lubricant having a hexane extraction of not more than 65% by weight. The toner exhibits release properties at a lower temperature and thereby has satisfactory anti-offset properties without impairing powder fluidity and anti-blocking properties. A crystalline thermoplastic resin composition comprises a rosin acid metallic salt and a crystalline thermoplastic resin. Optionally, a compatibilizing agent may also be included. The rosin acid metallic salt, which acts as a crystal nucleating agent, increases the crystallization rate of the crystalline thermoplastic resin and enables the formation of fine crystals of the resin. Thus, the crystalline thermoplastic resin composition can crystallize at a high rate, and provide molded articles having excellent mechanical properties and/or optical properties.

A composite material comprising a bulky substrate of a Y-series 123 metal oxide crystal, and at least one layer provided on a surface of the substrate and formed of a crystal of a Y-series 123 metal oxide. The substrate may be produced by immersing a seed material in a liquid phase which comprises components constituting the metal oxide. The liquid phase contains a solid phase located at a position different from the position at which the seed material contacts the liquid phase. The solid phase provides the liquid phase with solutes which constitute the Y-series 123 metal oxide so that the solutes are transported to the position at which the seed material and the liquid phase contact, thereby permitting the Y-series 123 metal oxide to grow on the seed material as primary crystals and to obtain the bulky substrate. The layer of a Y-series 123 metal oxide may be formed on the substrate by a sputtering method, a vacuum deposition method, a laser abrasion method, a CVD method or a liquid phase epitaxy method.

The present invention relates to a novel ethylene/pentene-1 copolymer whose molded film has a good balance between impact resistance and tear properties and high transparency, also is prominently reduced in a variation of the transparency even after subjected to a heat treatment, and further shows high blocking resistance, provided that the copolymer fulfills specific requisites. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of the above-mentioned ethylene/pentene-1 copolymer and a formulation of the ethylene/pentene-1 copolymer composition using a stabilizer. According to the invention, there can be obtained an ethylene/pentene-1 copolymer composition which is excellent in heat stability in the molding stage, long-term heat stability and weatherability.

By this microbial fuel cell, the velocity of the reaction can be increased to thereby give a high output by retaining a microbe in which an enzyme that catalyzes a redox reaction such as diaphorase has been introduced by genetic recombination on the side of the negative electrode.
