Abstract:
An oral or nasal endotracheal tube includes a tube part, a first balloon and a second balloon. The tube part extends along a direction with a tube shape and an end portion of the tube part is intubated into trachea. The first balloon extends with passing through the tube part, and expands or contracts a block cuff. The second balloon extends with passing through the tube part, and expands or contracts a guide cuff. The block cuff uniformly expands around the tube part and blocks the trachea after the tube part is intubated into the trachea. The guide cuff ununiformly expands around the tube part and guides the tube part to be intubated into the trachea.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a superhydrophobic coating material and a method for manufacturing the superhydrophobic coating material. The superhydrophobic coating material according to the present disclosure includes a substrate provided with a three-dimensional nano structure; and a coating layer comprising a rare earth metal oxide formed on the three-dimensional nano structure. The method for manufacturing the superhydrophobic coating material according to the present disclosure includes preparing a substrate provided with a three-dimensional nano structure; and forming a coating layer comprising a rare earth metal oxide on the three-dimensional nano structure by supplying a precursor including a rare earth metal and an oxidant one by one onto the substrate, and the temperature of the substrate is controlled in the forming step so that an atomic ratio of a carbon element in the coating layer is less than 1% to form the coating layer with superhydrophobic property.

The present invention relates to an Ecklonia cava extract, a preparation method thereof and a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating vascular diseases comprising the same as an active ingredient. The Ecklonia cava extract of the present invention was confirmed to have a medicinal effect on those factors involved in causing vascular diseases by the cell level experiments and the disease induced animal model experiments. Therefore, the Ecklonia cava extract of the present invention can be effectively used as an active ingredient of a pharmaceutical composition and a health functional food composition for the prevention, improvement or treatment of vascular diseases.
Abstract:
A geometrical error measurement method for a feed drive system includes entering coordinate values of four vertices of a virtual regular tetrahedron, mounting a position indicator to an end of a main shaft of a feed drive system, mounting three center mounts at three respective vertices of the four vertices except for the remaining vertex at which the main shaft is positioned while moving the main shaft of the feed drive system sequentially from one vertex to another according to the entered coordinate values, measuring distances between each of the four vertices indicated by the three center mounts and the position indicator with a double ballbar, and calculating a geometrical error from the measured distances.
Abstract:
A composition for prevention or treatment of pulmonary fibrosis comprising chromenone derivatives represented by Formula I of the present invention or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof as an active ingredient, produces altered heat shock protein 27 (HSP27) dimers, thereby preventing normal HSP27 non-phosphorylated polymers from performing a chaperone function and reducing a cell protection function that chaperone originally performs. Thus the inventive composition has a remarkable inhibitory effect on pulmonary fibrosis, in particular, an irradiation-induced pulmonary fibrosis phenomenon.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a bioenergy production system with reduced carbon dioxide emissions and process wastes; including a process for producing a bioalcohol and a biogas by subjecting a biomass, such as: herbaceous and woody plants, fruit pulp, freshwater and sea algae, grains, aerobic and anaerobic sludge, saccharides, polyols and carbohydrates, to a combined process of a biosaccharification/alcohol fermentation, including a biomass pretreatment process; and a process for producing a methane biogas with a reduced level of carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide, via an algae cultivation process with a view to purifying the carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide contained in the biogas; wherein, when the algae to be cultivated is microalgae, biodiesel is produced by subjecting the harvested microalgae to a biodiesel manufacturing process while recycling the glycerol and the saccharide-containing waste produced as byproducts to the biosaccharification/alcohol fermentation process, and when the algae to be cultivated is macroalgae the harvested macroalgae is recycled to the biosaccharification/alcohol fermentation process. The method of the present invention is effective in reducing carbon dioxide emissions, a representative green house gas contributing to the global warming, and also in optimizing a zero-waste bioenergy production system.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing a ceramic powder from a bone of a bird's beak, a method for preparing biomedical or industrial ceramic materials by using the ceramic powder derived from a bone of a bird's beak, and a biomedical or industrial ceramic material prepared by the method thereof. The use of the present ceramic powder for manufacturing biomedical or industrial ceramic materials is safer than the use of the ceramic powder derived from allogenic bone or xenogeneic bone. In addition, the ceramic powder of the present invention can be prepared on a mass production basis. Furthermore, the ceramic material prepared using the ceramic powder of the present invention is more biocompatible than that prepared using artificially synthetic ceramic.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are an apparatus and a method for generating a multi-level test case for testing software from a unified modeling language (UML) sequence diagram (SD) based on a multiple condition control flow graph (MCCFG). The apparatus includes: a UML SD metamodel storing unit storing a UML SD metamodel defined for a model to be converted therein; an MCCFG metamodel storing unit storing an MCCFG metamodel; a model converting unit model-converting the UML SD from which the test case is to be generated according to the UML SD metamodel and the MCCFG metamodel to generate the MCCFG; and a coverage criteria unit converting the MCCFG into a tree structure and then converting the tree structure into test cases according to a selection command.
