摘要: A magnetorheological fluid damper using magnetorheological fluid, whose viscosity changes according to an intensity of a magnetizing field, as working fluid includes a cylinder in which magnetorheological fluid is sealed, a piston which is slidably arranged in the cylinder, a first fluid chamber and a second fluid chamber which are partitioned by the piston, a main flow passage which is open on opposite end surfaces of the piston and allows communication between the first and second fluid chambers, an electromagnetic coil which generates a magnetizing field to be applied to the magnetorheological fluid flowing in the main flow passage, a bypass flow passage which is formed at a position less affected by the magnetizing field generated by the electromagnetic coil than the main flow passage, and a bypass branching portion which branches the bypass flow passage from the main flow passage.

摘要: At least one of fluid paths of a shock absorber is a bypass path including: a one-side opening opened to a chamber in one side; the other-side opening opened to a chamber in the other side; a one-side shaft member fluid path that is connected to the one-side opening and passes through an inner side of the shaft member; the other-side shaft member fluid path that is connected to the other-side opening and passes through the inner side of the shaft member; and a support member fluid path formed inside the support member to connect the one-side shaft member fluid path and the other-side shaft member fluid path. The valves provided in the bypass path are housed in the support member.

摘要: An actuator unit includes two chambers defined in the cylinder; a supply passage allowing a working fluid discharged from the pump to be supplied to the two chambers; a discharge passage allowing the two chambers to communicate with the tank; a direction control valve configured to selectively communicate each of the two chambers with one of the pump and the tank; a control passage that branches from the supply passage on a side of the pump rather than the direction control valve so as to communicate the pump with the tank; a variable relief valve provided on the control passage, the variable relief valve opening so as to allow the working fluid to flow from the supply passage toward the tank when a pressure in the supply passage reaches the valve opening pressure; and a center passage that communicates the tank with an interior of the cylinder.

摘要: A magnetorheological fluid shock absorber includes a piston slidably arranged in a cylinder in which magnetorheological fluid is sealed. The piston includes a piston core which is attached to an end part of a piston rod and on the outer periphery of which a coil is provided, a flux ring which surrounds the outer periphery of the piston core and forms a flow passage for the magnetorheological fluid between the piston core and the flux ring, a first plate which is arranged on the outer periphery of the piston rod and specifies the position of one end of the flux ring in an axial direction with respect to the piston core, a second plate which is arranged on the inner periphery of the other end of the flux ring, and a first snap ring which is fitted to the inner periphery of the flux ring and fixes the second plate.

摘要: A seal member includes an annular fitting part and an annular dust lip. The fitting part fits on an inner circumference of a tubular member. The dust lip extends from the fitting part toward a side opposite from the tubular member such that a diameter of an inner circumference of the dust lip gradually decreases, and a distal end portion of the dust lip slides on an outer circumferential surface of a shaft member. A metal insert includes a reinforcing ring and a reinforcing extension piece. The reinforcing ring stands along the inner circumference of the tubular member. The reinforcing extension piece extends from the reinforcing ring toward a side opposite from the tubular member, and inclines such that a distal end of the reinforcing extension piece approaches the shaft member. The reinforcing ring is arranged in the fitting part, whereas the reinforcing extension piece is arranged in the dust lip.

摘要: A vehicle height adjusting apparatus includes: an annular movable spring receiver in sliding contact with a guide surface formed on an outer periphery of an outer tube of a damper, the movable spring receiver being configured to support one side end of a suspension spring, the suspension spring biasing the damper in an expansion direction; a driving mechanism configured to drive the movable spring receiver in an axial direction of the damper; an auxiliary spring configured to bias the movable spring receiver to the suspension spring side; and a dust cover configured to cover a portion on the guide surface, the movable spring receiver being in sliding contact with the guide surface in the portion. The dust cover is held on the outer tube by means of a spring force of the auxiliary spring.
