Abstract: An electric rotating machine comprises: a stator in which a coil is wound on a plurality of teeth in concentrated winding, and the coil is connected to a three-phase power supply; and a rotor disposed in opposition to the teeth of the stator; wherein a ratio between the number of poles and the number of slots of the stator is 1:3. There is no higher harmonics of magnetomotive force in low order close to fundamental wave, thus enabling efficient operation of the electric rotating machine. Furthermore, owing to the stator of concentrated winding, it is possible to provide an electric rotating machine of high productivity with small coil end, high mass production, and high space factor.

Abstract: Provided is an armature for a rotating electrical machine, which is capable of improving heat dissipation performance of an edgewise coil to enhance efficiency of the rotating electrical machine. The armature for a rotating electrical machine includes: a core including a yoke section and a tooth section that protrudes from the yoke section; an edgewise coil to be inserted onto the tooth section through intermediation of an insulating member, the edgewise coil being formed by winding a rectangular wire having a rectangular conductor cross-section through edgewise bending; and a heat transfer member filled into a gap between the tooth section and the edgewise coil. The armature has different gaps formed at two regions between the tooth section and a long side of the edgewise coil.

Abstract: A rotary electric machine includes a stator in which a plurality of armatures each have a coil formed by a winding wire wound in plural layers around bobbins mounted to a magnetic pole tooth, which are disposed annularly on an inner circumference of a cylindrical frame. The coil is formed by the winding wire being wound with a constant feed pitch in parallel with slots of the bobbins in plural layers. The winding wire forming a first layer of the coil is shifted by half the feed pitch between a left side and a right side of a center axis of the coil as viewed from a plane perpendicular to a stacking direction of a stacked iron core.

Abstract: A permanent magnet rotor has a rotor core positioned about a rotation shaft. The permanent magnet rotor also has permanent magnet embedment slots located at equally spaced positions from the rotation shaft, with permanent magnets inserted into each of the respective permanent magnet embedment slots. The permanent magnet embedment slots each have both a magnet storing portion, and a buffer and other members storing portion which extends to the magnet storing portion. Once a permanent magnet is stored inside the magnet storing portion, a buffer member, and a pushing member are used to secure the permanent magnet inside the rotor core.

Abstract: Provided is a Lundell type rotating machine with high efficiency and high output, which has a rigid and magnetically advantageous magnet retention structure. A rotor iron core includes laminated magnetic-pole members mechanically and magnetically coupled to two laminated magnetic end plates, which extend in an axial direction so as to be brought into meshing engagement with each other to constitute a Lundell type rotor iron core, and permanent magnets provided between the magnetic-pole members. The magnetic-pole members are retained in predetermined positions between the magnetic end plates by dovetail grooves of a non-magnetic retention body over substantially the entire lengths. The permanent magnets are held in direct contact with the magnetic-pole members so as to be interposed therebetween. Thus, the magnet retention structure which is mechanically rigid and magnetically highly efficient even when increased in size can be obtained.
