Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for separating food slices from at least one food bar utilizing a rotating knife, wherein the food bar can be transported in the direction of the knife by way of at least one transporting means. The present invention further relates to a device for separating food slices from at least one food bar utilizing a rotating knife, wherein the food bar can be transported in the direction of the knife by way of at least one transporting means, and a knife for cutting open foodstuff. Said device comprises an oscillating sensor and/or a product sensor and the knife comprises a counter weight.
Abstract:
A filter has a housing with cylindrical wall having a first end face and a second end face. The housing has an end wall that closes of the first end face. A filter insert is arranged in the housing. A lid is attached to the cylindrical wall and closes off the second end face. The housing has two layers of different plastic materials, wherein the different plastic materials have different ductility and in particular different hardness. The cylindrical wall has elements that provide a positive-locking connection of the two layers in the axial direction of the housing.
Abstract:
A coated article is provided with at least one infrared (IR) reflecting layer. The IR reflecting layer may be of silver or the like. In certain example embodiments, a titanium oxide layer is provided over the IR reflecting layer, and it has been found that this surprisingly results in an IR reflecting layer with a lower specific resistivity (SR) thereby permitting thermal properties of the coated article to be improved.
Abstract:
A multi-chamber installation (1) treats objects under vacuum. An evacuation system (5) is connected to a plurality of chambers (2, 3, 4). To reduce the complexity of the evacuation process, a forepump (5) has several stages (11, 12, 13). Each of said stages is connected to one of the chambers (2, 3, 4).
Abstract:
A coated article is provided which may be heat treated (e.g., thermally tempered) in certain instances. In certain example embodiments, an interlayer of or including a metal oxide such as tin oxide is provided under an infrared (IR) reflecting layer so as to be located between respective layers comprising silicon nitride and zinc oxide. It has been found that the use of such a tin oxide inclusive interlayer results in significantly improved mechanical durability, thermal stability and/or haze characteristics. In certain example embodiments, a zinc oxide inclusive layer is provide over an IR reflecting layer in order to improve thermal stability. A zirconium oxide overcoat may also be provided in certain example instances.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an improved process for preparing 2-haloacyl-3-aminoacrylic acid derivatives and pyrazole-4-carboxylic acids and derivates thereof obtainable from it.
Abstract:
Trifluoromethyl-substituted biphenylcarboxylic acids are prepared by converting methyl-substituted biphenylcarbonitriles into the corresponding trichloromethyl-substituted biphenylcarbonitriles, converting the trichloromethyl group thereof to a trifluoromethyl group and thus obtaining trifluoromethyl-substituted biphenylcarbonitriles, and preparing the corresponding carboxylic acids therefrom by hydrolysis. A number of intermediates arising during this are novel compounds.

Abstract:
An illuminated optical magnifying device with an optical focusing unit that can produce a magnified image of an object to be observed and with an illumination device whose light is at least partially applicable for illuminating the object to be observed, whereby the illumination device is composed of at least one luminous diode, which is arranged in the magnifying device in such a way that its light can emerge from the magnifying device essentially straight toward the direction of the object to be observed.
Abstract:
A boat propeller has a housing adapted to be fixed to a boat, a hub rotatable about a main axis on the housing, a plurality of generally radially projecting vanes pivotable on the hub, and an operating core shaft coaxially received in the hub, rotatable about the main axis but axially nondisplaceable relative thereto, and having a rear end projecting axially from the hub and a front end. A yoke is fixed to the rear core-shaft end and respective rods fixed to the yoke are connected to the vanes for pivoting the vanes on angular movement of the core shaft about the main axis. A cylinder axially fixed in the housing at the front core-shaft end holds an axially displaceable piston. A nut element having a nonbinding internal screwthread is threaded on a screw element. One of the elements is axially coupled to the piston and the other of the elements is axially coupled to the core-shaft front end. The cylinder can be pressurized to axially displace the piston and, by axial-to-rotary conversion via the elements, rotate the core shaft.
