Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a spectacles and sunshade clip assembly. The assembly comprises spectacles including a pair of lens frames, and a pair of hinges affixed to opposite outer ends of the lens, and a sunshade clip including a pair of sunshade lens frames connected to each other by means of a bridge. The sunshade clip further comprises a pair of magnet ribs affixed to opposite outer ends of the sunshade lens frames to linearly extend across only a relatively short distance in a longitudinal direction of the sunshade clip. A respective one of the hinges provided at the spectacles is spaced apart forward from a reference line having a radius of curvature defined by inner surfaces of the lens frames, so that a portion thereof, coming into contact with a corresponding one of the lens frames, forms a forwardly-protruding portion. The forwardly-protruding portion is formed as a recessed magnet-mounting portion to receive a corresponding one of the magnets
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a cantilever-type PLC optical attenuator. The optical attenuator includes a base substrate made of silicon, an input waveguide, and output waveguide. Front portions of the upper and lower silicon substrates around the output waveguide are thinner than rear portions of the upper and lower silicon substrates around the output waveguide to provide a cantilever part having upper and lower cantilever substrate parts. A first electrode is provided on a bottom of the lower cantilever substrate part, and a second electrode is provided on the base substrate to electromagnetically correspond to the first electrode. When a voltage is applied between the first and second electrodes, the cantilever part moves up and down by an electromagnetic force, thus controlling the output light.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A signal amplifying apparatus, a wireless transmitting apparatus, and a signal amplifying method are provided. The signal amplifying apparatus modulates an envelope signal using a multi-bit quantizer, thereby increasing coding efficiency and tracking optimal supply voltage with respect to envelope variation due to the use of the multi-bit quantizer.
Abstract:
Provided is a fuel supply system for a marine structure using a high-pressure natural gas injection engine. The fuel supply system includes: a boil-off gas (BOG) compression unit configured to receive and compress BOG generated in a storage tank storing a liquefied gas; a reliquefaction apparatus configured to receive and liquefy the BOG compressed by the BOG compression unit; a buffer tank configured to receive the liquefied BOG from the reliquefaction apparatus and separate the reliquefied BOG into a gaseous component and a liquid component; a high-pressure pump configured to receive the liquid component from the buffer tank and compress the liquid component; and a high-pressure gasifier configured to gasify the liquid component compressed by the high-pressure pump and supply the gasified liquid component to the high-pressure natural gas injection engine.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is an inertial sensor including: a membrane; a mass body provided under the membrane; a plurality of patterned magnets provided under the mass body; and a magnetoresistive element provided to be spaced apart from the mass body and measuring static DC acceleration acting on the mass body through resistance changed according to magnetic fields of the plurality of patterned magnets. The plurality of patterned magnets and the magnetoresistive element are included, thereby making it possible to measure static DC acceleration (particularly, gravity acceleration) that is difficult to measure using an existing to piezoelectric element.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a capacitive element sensor and to a method for manufacturing same. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a change in total capacitance brought about by the electrical charge of biomolecules attached to an electrode and to a sensor for measuring the change.
