Abstract:
A fuel cell has a plurality of unit cells each including electrodes sandwiching an electrolyte membrane in-between, and a plurality of separators (3) each arranged between the unit cells. Each separator (3) has a plurality of contact lugs (65, 75) facing the electrodes and contacting the electrodes at pre-set contact widths and a plurality of fluid ducts (6a, 7a) each having a space between neighboring ones of the contact lugs (65, 75) as a duct width. The contact width of the contact lugs 65 (75) on a side closer to a fluid outlet is set smaller than that of the contact lugs 65 (75) on a side closer to a fluid inlet. Diffusion of an active material in an active material containing fluid into the inside of electrodes on a downstream side of a fluid duct, that is on a side closer to a fluid outlet, is facilitated.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a preparation for injection containing a lipid A analog and a process for preparing the same. A preparation for injection prepared by dissolving a lipid A analog or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof in an alkaline aqueous solution, at an elevated temperature if necessary, and then adding a buffer thereto, and a process for preparing the same.
Abstract:
A tube pump reduced of the burden against pump driving caused by dragging of a tube by a pressurizing roller. Specifically, guide members are disposed in the respective introduction portions at between the guides. Namely, the guide members are arranged nearby the extensions of the circumference of the arcuate guides and radially with respect to the center of the circumference. Due to this, the pump tube, the roller is to drag, is sustained by the guide member, to prevent the tube from increasing its deformation due to dragging. Thus, the tube can be prevented from being dragged in a manner forming a resistance to the roller. As a result, the pump motor, etc. can be prevented from being burdened with an increasing load.
Abstract:
A recording apparatus includes a platen that guides a sheet, restraining members disposed on the platen at respective side edges of the sheet to restrain the side edges of the sheet from being raised, a sheet width detector that detects the width of the sheet, and a restraining member detector that detects the positions of the restraining members. At least one of the restraining members is moved in accordance with the information obtained by the sheet width detector regarding the positions of the side edges of the sheet and the information obtained by the restraining position detector regarding the positions of the restraining members.
Abstract:
A feeding apparatus includes a pressing plate movable up and down configured to allow recording media to be stacked thereon, a feeding roller configured to feed recording media stacked on the pressing plate, an urging unit configured to urge the pressing plate in a direction to come close to the feeding roller, and a moving-away unit configured to cause the pressing plate to move away from the feeding roller against an urging force from the urging unit. The moving-away unit causes the pressing plate to move so that a distance between the uppermost recording medium being stacked and the feeding roller becomes approximately constant regardless of an amount of recording media stacked on the pressing plate.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a pharmaceutical preparation to be dispersed before administration which has an adequate viscosity and a suitable flowability even when dispersed in a small amount of water and can be easily administered through an NG tube is provided. Specifically, the pharmaceutical preparation to be dispersed before administration contains active granules containing a pharmaceutically active substance having an average particle diameter of 5 mm or less and a thickening agent, and can be administered through an NG tube by dispersing in water before administration.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a fuel cell stack structure capable of suppressing a drop in voltage resulting from flooding or contamination at an end in a direction in which cells are laminated, particularly in a cell at a gas outlet/inlet end. In this fuel cell stack structure, a layer which is irrelevant to power generation and in which a gas flow channel is formed is provided at least at a gas outlet/inlet end of a laminated-cell body of a fuel cell such as a solid-polyelectrolyte fuel cell. The layer is constructed of a dummy cell having a gas flow channel but no MEA. In addition, according to this fuel cell stack structure, both a fuel gas flow channel and an oxidative gas flow channel are formed in one face of the layer which is irrelevant to power generation and in which the gas flow channels are formed.
Abstract:
A fuel cell separator is pressed so that one side thereof defines a gas flow channel and that the other side thereof defines a coolant flow channel. A width dG and a cross-sectional area SG of the gas flow channel and a width dW and a cross-sectional area Sw of the coolant flow channel satisfy a relationship: dG≧dW or a relationship: SG≧SW.
