Abstract: Described is an apparatus of a User Equipment (UE) operable to communicate with a fifth-generation Evolved Node-B (gNB) on a wireless network. The apparatus may comprise a first circuitry and a second circuitry. The first circuitry may be operable to process a message comprising an indicator to indicate a number of contention based physical random access channel (PRACH) preambles within a PRACH occasion per Synchronization Signal Block (SSB). The second circuitry may be operable to generate a first PRACH occasion, based on the indicator.

The first circuitry may be operable to determine a first parameter set and a second parameter set for establishing Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) resources. The second circuitry may be operable to process a first part of a PDSCH transmission from a first set of Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) layers corresponding with a first Multimedia. Broadcast Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) configuration based on the first parameter set. The second circuitry may also be operable to process a second part of the PDSCH transmission from a second set of MIMO layers corresponding with a second MBSFN configuration based on the second parameter set.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for performing beam failure recovery. An embodiment operates by detecting a beam failure on a secondary cell (SCell). The embodiment transmits, to a base station, a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) for the SCell over a primary cell (PCell). The embodiment transmits the BFRQ for the SCell over a Primary Uplink Control Chanel (PUCCH), a Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH), or a Primary Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) over the PCell. The embodiment can transmit a schedule request (SR) to allocate a PUSCH over the PCell. The embodiment receives, from the base station, a response for the BFRQ for the SCell over the SCell or the PCell. The embodiment then uses a new beam for the SCell based on the response for the BFRQ for the SCell.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for methods and apparatus for carrying out wireless communication using Long Term Evolution (LTE) in a frequency band with low peak-to-average-power. The approach includes precoding, in the frequency domain, a plurality of physical channel signals, followed by multiplexing, where the procoding is performed according to predetermined codes with a code length selected based on a length of an entire signal of the multiplexed precoded plurality of physical channel signals. In addition, the approach includes being configured to map the multiplexed precoded plurality of physical channel signals to subcarriers in the frequency band, as well to generate a time domain waveform based on the mapped signals.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides apparatuses, systems, methods, and machine readable storage medium for physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission between a user equipment (UE) and a base station, based on a robust codebook. In an embodiment, a UE, including circuitry operable to: report a UE capability of the UE to a base station, wherein the UE capability comprises a number of phase tracking reference signal (PT-RS) antenna ports (NPT-RS) supported by the UE; decode control signaling received from the base station, wherein the control signaling comprises at least one parameter to indicate a precoder selected from a codebook based on at least the NPT-RS; and perform physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission according to the indicated precoder; wherein the codebook is predefined or configured based on different numbers of PT-RS antenna ports and different waveforms, in the UE and the base station.
