Abstract: Supporting transmission of multiple hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgments (HARQ-ACKS) within a single slot may include encoding a first HARQ-ACK and a second HARQ-ACK within the single slot for transmission to a base station. The first HARQ-ACK may be transmitted via a first physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) and the second HARQ-ACK may be transmitted via a second PUCCH. Based on encoding the first HARQ-ACK and the second HARQ-ACK within the single slot, one or more additional uplink (UL) signals colliding with at least one of the first HARQ-ACK and the second HARQ-ACK within the single slot may be responded to based on a configuration of the UE.

Abstract: Some aspects relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing mechanisms for a network to trigger the UE to obtain synchronization with one or more cell neighbors in the network. Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing mechanisms for measuring and using TA for a beam group and for uplink signal multiplexing. For example, a UE includes a transceiver configured to wirelessly communicate with a serving cell and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver. The processor receives, from the serving cell, a first message indicating Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH) resource configuration associated with a neighbor cell. The processor further receives a second message to trigger transmission of a PRACH message to the neighbor cell. The processor further generates the PRACH message responsive to the second message and according to the PRACH resource configuration cell and transmits the PRACH message to the neighbor cell.

Abstract: Some embodiments include a system, method, and computer program product for managing power consumption of a user equipment (UE) supporting sidelink discontinuous reception (SL-DRX) in a 5G wireless communications system. A UE determines a candidate slot for sending a signal based on data sensed in various periods over a history window. Some embodiments include a processor that can determine set of candidate slots that are sufficiently sensed based on sensed periods over a history window, and determine a subset of candidate slots of the set of candidate slots based at least on an occupancy threshold over the history window. The processor can select a candidate slot from the subset of candidate slots, and transmit via the transceiver, a first signal via the selected candidate slot.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for port selection codebook configuration. A user equipment (UE) may decode a channel state information (CSI) report configuration (CSI-ReportConfig) from a base station. The CSI-ReportConfig indicates up to L CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) ports for selection by the UE out of P CSI-RS ports configured for measuring and reporting CSI. Abstract: A positioning server is configured to determine a set of anchor points to be used in a positioning method for a user equipment, wherein each of the anchor points is associated with a type of anchor point comprising a terrestrial type or a non-terrestrial type, select a subset of the set of anchor points based on the types of the anchor points, select one anchor point from the subset of anchor points as a reference anchor point based on an expected quality of a positioning reference signal (PRS) transmission received from the anchor point, transmit to the UE a PRS configuration for each of the anchor points and indicating to the UE the reference anchor point and instruct each of the anchor points to transmit respective PRSs in accordance with the PRS configuration.

Abstract: Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for using group based reporting for beam management in a 5G wireless communications system. A user equipment (UE) can determine based on a signal-to-interference-plus noise ratio (SINR) or reference signal received power (RSRP) measurement, a ranking of two or more beam combinations, and transmit the ranking to a 5G node B (gNB). The UE can receive from the gNB, a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) codepoint that identifies a combination of two or more beams, where the TCI codepoint is based at least on the ranking. The UE can receive simultaneous transmissions via the combination, and transmit a report to the gNB that identifies by the TCI codepoint, SINRs that corresponds to the combination. In some embodiments the UE can simultaneously transmit on a second combination identified by a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource indicator (SRI) codepoint.
