    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for improving initialization of sidelink duplication reception in a wireless communication system are disclosed herein. In one method, a User Equipment (UE) receives a first Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) Protocol Data Unit (PDU) on a logical channel associated with a sidelink radio bearer (SLRB). The UE initializes a first state variable based on a partial Reordering_Window and a PDCP Sequence Number (SN) of the first received PDCP PDU, wherein the first state variable indicates the PDCP SN of a last PDCP Service Data Unit (SDU) delivered to the upper layers by a PDCP entity created for the SLRB, and the partial Reordering_Window is less than a Reordering_Window. The UE performs a re-ordering procedure for the first PDCP PDU using the initialized first state variable.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for assisting data transmission in a wireless communication system. In one embodiment, the method includes a UE transmitting information to a base station, wherein the information at least indicates time to start an uplink transmission by the UE. In another embodiment, the method could include the UE receiving, from the base station, a configuration indicating a periodic uplink resource allocation. In addition, the method could include the UE performing the uplink transmission based on the periodic uplink resource allocation.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for handling multiple D2D grants for multiple sidelinks in decreasing order of priority. In one embodiment, the method includes a first UE participates in a first sidelink and a second sidelink, wherein a priority of the first sidelink is higher than a priority of the second sidelink. The method also includes the first UE receiving a first D2D grant and a second D2D grant from a base station in a first SA period. The method further includes the first UE serving the first sidelink with the first D2D grant and afterward, the first UE cannot serve the first sidelink with another D2D grant for the same SA period as the first D2D grant. In addition, the method includes the first UE serving the second sidelink with the second D2D grant and afterward, the first UE cannot serve the second sidelink with another D2D grant for the same SA period as the second D2D grant. Furthermore, the method includes the first UE using the first D2D grant for transmitting available data of the first sidelink and using the second D2D grant for transmitting available data of the second sidelink in a second SA period, wherein the second SA period and the first SA period are different SA periods.

    Abstract: A method and device are disclosed for a User Equipment (UE) to sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) for sidelink groupcast communication associated with a group. In one embodiment, the method includes the UE assuming or considering a sidelink DRX configuration applied for the sidelink groupcast communication associated with the group, wherein the sidelink DRX configuration comprises at least one of an on-duration timer length used for determining an on-duration at the beginning of each sidelink DRX cycle and/or a cycle length used for determining a length of each sidelink DRX cycle. The method also includes the UE deriving or determining a time to start of on-duration for each sidelink DRX cycle or start of each sidelink DRX cycle based on at least an identifier associated with the group. The method further includes the UE transmitting a sidelink control information associated with the group on a sidelink control channel in a period, wherein the period is determined based on the SL DRX configuration and the time to start of on-duration for each sidelink DRX cycle or start of each sidelink DRX cycle.

    Abstract: A method and device are disclosed for a relay User Equipment (UE). The relay UE connects with a remote UE or serving the remote UE for a relay communication with a network node. The relay UE receives a message on a PC5 RLC channel from the remote UE, wherein the PC5 RLC channel is associated with a Uu SRB1 for the remote UE or a Uu SRB on which the remote UE transmitting RRC signalling in RRC_CONNECTED.
