摘要: A side shooting ink ejection device may comprise a front surface, side shooting nozzles having ejection orifices for ejecting fluid, and piezoelectric actuators for moving the fluid through vibration for ejecting the fluid out of the nozzle. The side shooting nozzles may be arranged to eject fluid in a side direction of the piezoelectric actuator. The front surface may comprise recessed portions. The side shooting nozzles may open into the recessed portions so that the ejection orifices are countersunk with respect to the front surface.

摘要: The photoresist barrier layer of an inkjet printer printhead is processed to enable channels narrower than a predetermined width in the barrier layer to be created without blockage. Relatively large volumes of photoresist which form a wall of the channel are exposed to a partial exposure of electromagnetic radiation to yield a reduced concentration of photoresist barrier layer in the large volume.

摘要: Systems and methods provide for a device including a film having a shape that defines an interior region. The device may also include one or more electronic components disposed within the interior region of the film, and a hardened thermo-set resin within the interior region, wherein the thermo-set resin encompasses the electronic components and substantially fills the interior region of the film. In one example, printed content is coupled to a surface of the film. In addition, the thermo-set resin may include an additive that is configured to absorb and distribute heat generated by the electronic components.

摘要: A printhead for an inkjet print cartridge capable of generating low drop weight ink drops is produced by reducing the dimensions of the firing chamber. A thinner orifice plate is needed to reliably achieve the lower drop weight ink drops. To overcome the material strength limitations of such a thinner orifice plate, an annealing step in the manufacture of the printhead is employed to modify the material properties of the orifice plate. This improved process improves the print quality of printers and aids in the production handling properties of the orifice plate. Orifice plates having a thickness in the range of 25 .mu.m to 40 .mu.m are being produced.

摘要: Islands of barrier layer material of an inkjet printhead are disposed between an ink source and the ink feed channels leading to the ink firing chambers to filter particles in the ink. Dimensions of the ink feed channels and ink ejecting orifices have been reduced in size and the thickness of the barrier layer has been made thinner. The nominal size of the filter pores is less than the barrier layer thickness while the width of the ink feed channels and the bore diameter of the orifices is larger than the barrier layer thickness.
