Abstract:
A seat rail for supporting seats in an aircraft comprises a support portion for connection with the cabin floor and a seat receiving portion having a groove for receiving the end portions of connector elements coupled with the support frame of a seat. The support portion comprises a profile arrangement of a fiber-reinforced polymer, preferably carbon fiber-reinforced polymer, having a central main portion and flanges which extend outwardly from and perpendicular with respect so the main portion to form a support surface for the seat rail. The main portion comprises a slot open at least at its end remote from the flanges. At least one metal element comprising the groove for receiving the end portions of the connector elements has a leg which is inserted into the slot of the main portion and is secured therein. The seat rail may be manufactured in a continuous process.

Abstract:
Devices and methods for producing a T-shaped semifinished product from a multiply non-crimp fabric with reinforcing fibers for a composite material. The product has a web and a flange. The device includes a web forming tool, with which a web portion of the non-crimp fabric is clamped in place, a forming tool, with which plies of a flange portion of the non-crimp fabric are split into two parts, a depositing device, with which a tube body is deposited on the flange portion formed into the flange, a holding tool, with which a clearance between the holding tool and the flange is formed, and a filling device, with which the tube body is filled with a gas such that the tube body fills the clearance and firmly holds the flange portion formed into the flange, and alternatively, a magnetic force can be generated between a sheet and the web forming tool.
Abstract:
A process for producing a component for an aircraft for the frame, e.g. formers and stringers. Aircraft are being increasingly constructed of polymeric fiber composite to reduce weight. Here, fiber composites were originally composed of thermoset polymer and carbon fibers. Thermoplastic fiber composites are increasingly a research focus. An example is poly(ether ether ketone). However, production of components of thermoplastic fiber composites is complex. An improved process for producing such components includes producing a sheet-like object with a thermoplastic fiber composite having a thermoplastic polymer material and reinforcing fibers embedded therein, forming the sheet-like object for a semifinished part, and solidification of the semifinished part to give the component. Components obtainable by this process are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A device for a lacquer transfer includes a transfer roller mounted at and rotatable relative to a frame. The roller includes a cylindrical support-body, first ring-element, second ring-element, and a tire including a middle-section forming a circumferential outer contact surface with depressions, the roller configured to roll with the outer contract surface on a work surface of a workpiece for transferring lacquer from the outer contact surface and the depressions to the work surface. The tire includes two annular end-sections attached to a cylindrical outer shell of the support-body resulting in two axially separated and circumferentially extending connections, the tire, connections, and outer shell of the support-body being fluid-tight. The first and second ring-elements are in the first cavity seated on the support-body at a distance in an axial direction of the roller from one another and the middle-section of the tire between the first and second ring-elements is prestrained in the axial direction.
Abstract:

The slit nozzle includes a supply connection, nozzle-cavity, slit-shaped nozzle-channel and at least one limiter, the supply connection coupled to the nozzle-cavity for supplying lacquer to the nozzle-cavity, the nozzle-channel extending from the nozzle-cavity to a muzzle end formed by the slit nozzle at the end of the nozzle-channel for dispensing lacquer, the slit nozzle configured by the limiter to adjust a cross-section in a restriction area of the nozzle-channel.
Abstract:
In a method for producing a rail-shaped hybrid component, in particular for an aircraft or spacecraft, a second rail component made of a titanium material is positioned on a first bar of a first profile rail that is made of a carbon-fiber reinforced plastic material and moved in an advancing direction, in a fixed position relative to the first profile rail, such that a bar portion of the first bar is arranged between a first connecting portion of the second rail component and a second connecting portion of the second rail component, and the second rail component is cohesively connected to the first profile rail. Furthermore, the hybrid component has a first profile rail made of a carbon-fiber reinforced plastic material and a second rail component made of a titanium material.
Abstract:
A method for producing a three-dimensional preform from reinforcing fibers for producing a component from a fiber-reinforced plastic comprises the steps of introducing at least one layer of fibers having a binder into a draping mold, forming the at least one layer of fibers by at least one forming element which is displaceable along the draping mold, applying an airtight film to the at least one layer of fibers during or directly after the forming, creating a negative pressure in the intermediate space between the airtight film and the draping mold, activating the binder and removing the negative pressure after curing of the binder.
