Abstract: An induction heated tool system for receiving and heating polymer-fiber components from a starting temperature to a target temperature includes a tool part having a receiving cutout, the tool part formed from a thermally dimensionally stable material so it has a coefficient of thermal longitudinal expansion less than 10×10−6 K−1, or less than 5×10−6 K−1, or less than 4×10−6 K−1 in the plane of the largest dimension of the receiving cutout, at temperatures between the starting and target temperatures. A receiving cutout for receiving a polymer-fiber component is in the tool part, the receiving cutout delimited by a receiving surface portion so a polymer-fiber component received in the receiving cutout can lie against the receiving surface portion. A susceptor element includes a ferromagnetic material with a first Curie temperature. The susceptor element is on a surface portion of the tool part outside the receiving cutout and the receiving surface portion.

Abstract: A mold core for producing a component of fiber composite material with a cavity makes a particularly simple and efficient demolding process possible by the mold core extending along a longitudinal axis and in the form of a hybrid core and which includes, viewed in a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, a first core portion and a second core portion, wherein the first core portion has a thickness that is substantially greater than a thickness of the second core portion. The first core portion is formed from a first material with high stiffness and low coefficient of thermal expansion, and the second core portion is formed from a second material that differs from the first material, and is configured such that, under predetermined conditions, its form changes in a predetermined manner such that removal of the mold core from a cavity in the cured component is made easier.

Abstract: A method for the additive manufacture of a component within a receiving unit using a powdery material wherein, in one step, the powdery material is introduced into the receiving unit via a feed unit. In a further step, an oscillation is applied to the powdery material introduced into the receiving unit. In a further step, the oscillation is applied over a period of time to the powdery material introduced into the receiving unit until a predetermined distribution of the powdery material within the receiving unit is achieved. In a further step, at least a part of the powdery material within the receiving unit is solidified after the predetermined distribution of the powdery material has been achieved. An apparatus for the additive manufacture of a component within a receiving unit using a powdery material is also described.

Abstract: Method for producing composite components having an undevelopable surface. To be able to maintain the tolerances when manufacturing especially large components in the case of composite components with undevelopable surfaces, it is proposed according to the invention to drape a cut-to-size blank on a molding tool and to determine the deviation of the cut-to-size blank edge from the setpoint cut-to-size edge. Then, on the basis of the deviation, a new cut-to-size blank edge is calculated, and a new cut-to-size blank is created and re-draped for examination purposes. The method is repeated until the deviations are below a tolerable threshold value. The method is furthermore carried out for each textile ply of the composite component.
