Abstract:
A thermoplastic resin component has improved transparency and impact resistance, the thermoplastic resin composed of 5 to 40 parts by weight of a graft copolymer (A) and 95 to 60 parts by weight a copolymer (B), the graft copolymer (A) being prepared by polymerizing at least one selected from the group consisting of alkyl methacrylate, aromatic vinyl, and vinylcyanide with an agglomerated rubber, the copolymer (B) being prepared by polymerizing at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of an aromatic vinyl monomer, an alkyl methacrylate monomer, and a vinylcyanide monomer. The agglomerated rubber is prepared by agglomerating a styrene-diene rubber latex with an acid-group-containing copolymer latex containing unsaturated acid, aromatic vinyl, and alkyl acrylate as the essential components and having a controlled refractive index.

Abstract:
An air is fed from an air supply source to a detecting nozzle via a first fixed throttle section. The air is jetted from the detecting nozzle to the workpiece W to obtain a nozzle back pressure for detecting a position of a workpiece W. A first diffuser section is disposed downstream of the first fixed throttle section.
Abstract:
A process of cladding by welding includes the steps of: (1) preparing a workpiece having a cladding-scheduled portion including an exposed normal region, the exposed normal region having a normal surface including a possibility that a foreign substance portion exists, and the foreign substance portion to form a defect of cladding; (2) irradiating the exposed region of the cladding-scheduled portion of the workpiece with an high-density energy beam, the high-density energy beam capable of eliminating or decreasing the foreign substance portion, substantially without melting the exposed normal region of the cladding-scheduled portion; and (3) covering the exposed normal region of the cladding-scheduled portion of the workpiece with a clad layer.
Abstract:
A cylinder head gasket 1 includes a shim ring 5 which surrounds a combustion chamber opening 2A in a gasket body 2. The shim ring is circumferentially spot welded along weld lines 5a, 5b. The weld spacing of the spot welding is varied to provide zones H.sub.1, H.sub.2 and H.sub.3 of high welding density and zone of a low welding density. The weld spacing in the zone of high welding density is such that a distortion in the shim ring is produced under the influence of heat generated during the welding operation if the weld spacing is used around the full circumference of the shim ring for spot welding. However, by interposing a zone of a low welding density, a distortion in the shim ring can be prevented while increasing the welding strength.
Abstract:
A wear-resistant copper-based alloy includes 10.0 to 30.0% by weight Ni, 2.0 to 15.0% by weight Fe, 2.0 to 15.0% by weight Co, 0.5 to 5.0% by weight Si, 1.0 to 10.0% by weight Cr, 2.0 to 15.0% by weight at least one first optional element selected from the group consisting of Mo, Ti, Zr, Nb and V, at least one second optional element selected from the group consisting of C and O, and the balance of Cu and inevitable impurities. A carbon content "X" and an oxygen content "Y" satisfy the following relationships; namely: 0.ltoreq."X".ltoreq.0.5, 0.ltoreq."Y".ltoreq.0.05, and "Y".gtoreq.(-0.8)("X")+0.04. The wear-resistant copper-based alloy enables to improve the toughness of weld bead, and to inhibit weld bead from cracking effectively in the solidifying process of a building-up operation.
Abstract:
A steering angle sensor for accurately detecting the steering angle of a vehicle, which has a signal pattern based on partial changes of the electromagnetic characteristics formed at part of the steering rack bar of the steering gear box and reads the same by a signal detector provided opposing the steering rack bar so as to detect the absolute position of the steering rack bar.
Abstract:
A still video signal playback apparatus in which common circuit components are employed so as to be shared among a drop-out compensator circuit, a noise cancel circuit, and an arithmetic mean circuit, thereby simplifying circuit configuration. Furthermore, three functions including the drop-out compensation, the noise cancellation, and the arithmetic means computation are provided.
Abstract:
A thin film circuit including resistor elements and capacitor elements is prepared by forming a tantalum film for capacitor on an insulating substrate, forming a tantalum film for resistor over the substrate, covering a predetermined region of the tantalum resistor film with a titanium film, heat treating a resulting assembly, removing the titanium film, and then covering the predetermined region with a metal film to provide ohmic contact therebetween.
Abstract:
A pneumatic radial tire for passenger cars having a low rolling resistance is disclosed. The radial tire comprises a body reinforcement including a toroidal carcass composed of radially arranged cords and a belt superimposed about the carcass and consisting of plural rubberized plies each containing cords arranged at 60.degree.-80.degree. with respect to the radial plane of the tire, which cords of said plies being crossed with each other, and a bead reinforcement wherein the carcass is wound around a bead core to form a turnup portion, thread and sidewall rubbers covering these reinforcements. In the radial tire, a super-hard bead filler rubber is arranged at a region extending from the bead core to the middle part of the side portion, and a base rubber having a low loss modulus and a high resilience is arranged on at least both side edge parts of the belt at a volume ratio in the coating rubber for tread portion of 0.1-0.5.
