    摘要: A milling apparatus comprising a milling chamber loadable with a grinding charge; an inlet to the milling chamber via which a material to be milled is introduced into the milling chamber; and an outlet from the chamber via which milled material is extracted from the milling chamber; wherein a rotatingly driven centrifuge grinding separator is located within the milling chamber which separator comprises: an upper plate formed with a plurality of diagonally formed through slots; a lower plate formed with a plurality of diagonally formed through slots; and a ring located between the upper and lower plates formed with a plurality of diagonally formed through slots; arranged such that rotation of the central ring formed with the diagonal slots continually pressurizes such a grinding charge so as to force such a grinding charge from the centre of the separator upward and over the periphery of the separator and downward and under en the periphery of the separator and rotation of the upper and lower plates formed with the diagonal slots pulls and draws such a grinding charge back into the centre of the separator.

    摘要: An inflatable fender system for protecting a watercraft from damaging contact with a permanent object, such as a dock, wharf, piling and rafted watercraft. Two elongated flexible substantially airtight tubular fenders are provided having a generally flat cross section when uninflated, rolled into a coil and stored at the stern of the watercraft. Each of the tubular fenders is independently extendable along a substantial portion of the length of the watercraft. A controlled air supply or AC or DC compressor on the watercraft is operably connected to each of the tubular fenders for independently selectively inflating and expanding the tubular fenders from the flat cross section during deployment. A hanger system, preferably including a plurality of hangers connectable in spaced relation between the watercraft and each of the tubular fenders support the tubular fenders during deployment to protect the side and gunnels of the watercraft.

    摘要: A powder metal part infiltration process uses a stamped metallic sheet as a source of metal for infiltration to achieve a high strength powder metal part. A powder metal is compacted, and an infiltrant blank is formed from a wrought metal sheet. The infiltrant blank is placed on top of the compact, and the compact is sintered at a temperature sufficient to form a sintered compact with a matrix having pores and to melt the wrought metal such that the melted wrought metal infiltrates the pores of the matrix. The infiltrant blank may be formed with a locating element for engaging a corresponding locating element on the compact to improve positioning of the blank on the compact. Also, the compact may be separately sintered, and the infiltrant blank may then be placed on the sintered compact. The wrought metal is then melted such that the melted wrought metal infiltrates the pores of the matrix.

    摘要: A system, device, and method for interprocessor communication in a computer system utilizes a special Message Passing Service (MPS) to provide interprocessor communications. The MPS enables a client application running on one processor in a computer to communicate with a target application running a different processor in the same or a different computer. In order for the client application to communicate with the target application, the client application establishes a session to the target application over an existing communication link using the MPS. The MPS provides for both synchronous and asynchronous communication services. When the client application establishes the session to the target application, the client application specifies, among other things, a “callback” routine. The MPS invokes the “callback” routine to report certain asynchronous events to the client application. The MPS blocks the client application during certain synchronous operations so that the client application does not proceed until the synchronous operation is completed.
