In one embodiment, a request from a client device to connect to a radio-based network is received. A virtual private cloud network of a cloud provider network to which the client device is permitted access is determined. The client device is provided with access to the virtual private cloud network through the radio-based network.

Abstract: Network hardware devices organized in a wireless mesh network (WMN). The mesh network device receives, from a first device that is not part of the WMN, a first request to receive information about radar events in an area. The first request includes an identifier of a Dynamic Frequency (DFS) channel and first proximity data for at least one mesh network device in the vicinity of the first device. The mesh network device determines that i) the first device is located within the area; and ii) the first device is communicatively coupled with the at least one mesh network device and sends authorization to receive information about the radar events and coverage map data that identifies the area. The mesh network device sends, to the first device, first data about a first radar event in response to the radar event.

Abstract: Network hardware devices organized in a wireless mesh network (WMN) in which one mesh network device includes a first radio and one or more additional radios coupled to an application processor. The application processor receives a request to stream content data to a client consumption device, via the first radio, and receives portions of the content data from multiple devices at different retrieval rates via the one or more additional radios. The application processor calculates an average retrieval rate for retrieving the first segments and the second segments, determines a desired streaming bitrate value, and determines an end time to complete transmission of a first portion to the client consumption device. The application processor transmits, via the first radio, the first portion such that at least one byte of the first portion is transmitted at the end time to complete transmission of the first portion.

Abstract: Systems and approaches arc provided to enable multiple user devices to share data between devices. In one scenario, a user may click on or touch a telephone hyperlink from a browser of a desktop computer to initiate a telephone call from the user's mobile phone. In another situation, a user may begin various computing tasks from a tablet in the evening, share data associated relating to her work with a business computer, and complete her tasks the next day in the office with little to no minimal disruption to her work flow. In effect, the user may “cut” or “copy” data from a first personal computing device and paste that “data” onto a second computing device.

Abstract: Technologies directed to determining a role of a network device, configuring the network device according to the role, and provisioning the network device to a network are described. In one method, the hardware configuration information and external connection information are stored by the network device. The network device determines a role using the hardware configuration information and the external connection information without any manual intervention or manual configuration. The role can be any one of a Router Node, a Storage Node, a Base Station Node, a Relay Node, a Gateway Node, or a Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) Node. After recognizing the role, the network device can be configured and provisioned to the network without any manual intervention or manual configuration.
