    摘要: A driver for producing a desired pulse width modulated current through a load is provided with a sequencer for generating a plurality of wave forms phase-shifted so as to have non-overlapping duty cycles. A target generator supplies a target current value to a comparator, which compares the target current value to a signal representative of a sensed current flowing through the load. A driver control is responsive to a duty-cycle of only one of the plurality of wave forms to selectively generate trigger signals for switching current through the load in response to the result of the comparison.

    摘要: A fuel injection control system and method for controlling a potential overlap of two fuel shots in a particular fuel injection event for an engine. A controller is coupled to a plurality of fuel injection devices associated with the engine and is operable to determine a cylinder first shot duration value based upon a predetermined nominal first shot duration value and a predetermined cylinder first shot duration trim value. The controller is further operable to retrieve a first shot advance value and a minimum second shot delay value associated with the cylinder and thereafter determine whether a first fuel shot in the particular fuel injection event will overlap in some fashion with a second fuel shot in that same fuel injection event based upon the cylinder first shot duration value and the retrieved values. The controller is further operable to either remove a portion of the first fuel shot that overlaps into a predetermined region of the particular fuel injection event or set the first fuel shot duration time to zero if it determines that a potential overlap situation will occur. The controller is further operable to load the cylinder first shot duration time thus determined for each cylinder in a computer readable medium associated with the respective cylinder during each fuel injection event.

    摘要: A method for controlling transfer from use of a first injection waveform type to use of a second injection waveform type in a hydraulically-actuated electronically-controlled fuel injection system of an engine includes sensing an engine speed and an engine load when the first injection waveform type is selected and storing the sensed engine speed and the sensed engine load. An actual engine speed is thereafter compared with the stored engine speed and an actual engine load is thereafter compared with the stored engine load. Transfer from use of the first injection waveform type to use of the second injection waveform type is prevented unless at least (i) a difference between the actual engine load and the stored engine load exceeds a predetermined load amount, or (ii) a difference between the actual engine speed and the stored engine speed exceeds a predetermined speed amount.

    摘要: When two fuel shots such as the main and anchor fuel shots are closely coupled, the controller is operable to determine a total main and anchor fuel quantity, a main shot duration, and anchor delay. The total main and anchor fuel quantity is determined by subtracting a pilot shot fuel amount from the governor fuel output, and a sensor senses a rail pressure. If a triggering condition is met, preferably a main shot fuel amount being less than or equal to a minimum main shot fuel amount, the anchor duration is determined from a map using the main shot duration, anchor delay, rail pressure, and total main and anchor fuel quantity as factors for setting the anchor duration.
