Abstract:
Embodiments relate to methods and systems for building representations of related subjects. User instructions may be received via a computer system that relate identifying information relating to a subject (e.g., an individual, group and/or event) to a node being associated therewith. Nodes in different accounts may be compared and matched based on identifying information associated with the nodes. Characteristics of one of the matched nodes may be added or modified based on characteristics of another of the matched nodes. A user may be notified of a potential match, a match, and/or node characteristics additions and/or modifications.
Abstract:
A die attach composition is used for bonding a silicon chip on a flat substrate. The die attach composition includes a cross-linkable epoxy resin having a rigid backbone, an epoxy siloxane resin, a fumed silica filler, an amine curing agent, and a silane coupling agent. The die attach composition is particularly useful in bonding silicon heater chips on flat ceramic substrate in forming an inkjet printhead assembly. The die attach composition allows accurate placement of silicon heater chips on flat ceramic substrate and exhibits good ink resistance.
Abstract:
A system and method for offloading network processes from main processors of a storage system and performing them on parallel processing modules. Embodiments of the present invention improve performance of a clustered storage system by performing certain network processes in an accelerator module of a storage system node. The accelerator module receives multi-protocol protocol data units (PDUs) from a network interface, performs protocol operations on the PDUs to form file system requests and passes the file system requests to a local D-module. If a file system request is directed to a non-local D-module in the cluster, the accelerator module repackages the request for transmission to the appropriate D-module and passes it back to the network without using local D-module processing resources or passing data over the system bus.
Abstract:
A wire slicing system and method for using it include one or more of the following features: arrangements and/or operations that relate to handling the wire; apparatus and methods that relate to wire tensioning; equipment and techniques for manipulating the workpiece; arrangements and/or operations designed for cooling and swarf (debris) removal; controls and/or automation that can be used in conjunction with these features.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for an inexpensive, simple to make, self-aligning molded waveguide made of an optically transparent material and that can be used to generate a grid or lamina of light for use with touch screen displays. The molded waveguide substrate includes a plurality of lenses and a plurality of waveguide grooves corresponding to the plurality of integral lenses respectively. After the substrate is molded, the grooves are filled with an optically transparent material to optically couple and align the plurality of lenses and the plurality of grooves respectively. In one application, the molded waveguide substrate is positioned adjacent a touch screen device. A light transmitter and an imaging device are optically coupled to the molded waveguide substrate, and a processing device is coupled to the imaging device. The processing device is configured to determine a data entry to the touch screen by deciphering the coordinates of an interrupt in the light created in the free space adjacent the touch screen device when a data entry is being made to the touch screen device.
Abstract:
System for the generation of hydrogen comprising (a) a reactor vessel containing a hydrogen precursor material; (b) either (1) an inlet line adapted to introduce a reactive material and a treatment material into the reactor vessel, or (2) a first inlet line adapted to introduce a reactive material into the reactor vessel and a second inlet line adapted to introduce a treatment material into the reactor vessel; and (c) an outlet adapted to withdraw hydrogen from the reactor vessel.
Abstract:
An articulated leading edge for the fuselage and wings of an aircraft is disclosed. The leading edge may be moved from an undeflected or retracted position adjacent to the fuselage and wings to a deflected or extended position. The leading edge includes fuselage and wing portions which are articulated with respect to each other. The fuselage portion of the leading edge may be rotated around an axis near the nose of the aircraft. When the fuselage portion is rotated, the region between the fuselage portion and wing portion of the leading edge bends and the wing portion is elevated with respect to the wing. In such an extended position, the leading edge increases lift of the aircraft at low speeds. In the retracted position, gaps associated with the leading edge are avoided.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to improvements in storage and delivery systems that allow for rapid fill and delivery of gases reversibly stored in a nonvolatile liquid medium, improvements in delivery and purity of the delivered gas. The low pressure storage and delivery system for gas which comprises: a container having an interior portion containing a reactive Lewis basic or Lewis acidic reactive liquid medium that is reversibly reacted with a gas having opposing Lewis acidity or basicity; a system for transferring energy into or out of the reactive liquid medium; or, a product gas purifier (e.g. a gas/liquid separator); or both.
Abstract:
An adjustable bottom bracket assembly for a bicycle comprises a body member and a wedge member, each having a circular cylindrical external surface in close fit with an internal circular cylindrical surface of a bottom bracket shell. The body and wedge members have abutting complementary planar wedge surfaces oriented obliquely to the axes of their cylindrical surfaces. A drive device, such as a screw, moves the body and wedge members axially to wedge them securely in an adjusted position in the bottom bracket shell.
Abstract:
Proposed is a street address signage device, for commercial or residential use, wherein said street address signage device is configured to be affixed to a building, or another structure or an auxiliary edifice on a residence or property, for enhanced wayfinding purposes. The primary purpose of the device is to clearly and brilliantly display a street address during all lighting and weather conditions to passing traffic or anyone within the vicinity. The secondary purpose is to alert and/or advertise with excessive/aggressive means, to anyone within eyesight of said residence or property, a heightened-need beacon or distress symbol or specialized display. In a most preferred embodiment the heightened need is an emergency situation. In said most preferred embodiment said primary purpose comprises displaying numbers on a lighted front screen and said secondary purpose comprises flashing or strobing bright lights.
