摘要: An imaging and decoding system for an imaging-based bar code reader. The imaging and decoding system includes an imaging system and a decoding system. The imaging system includes an imaging pixel array and a memory which function to: image the target bar code by scanning the target bar code at an acute angle with respect to a vertical axis of the target bar code to generate a tilted imaged bar code stored in memory, the tilted imaged bar code comprising an array of gray scale values stored in the memory; generate a virtual scan line traversing a horizontal width of the tilted imaged bar code; establish a zone about the virtual scan line; and project gray values within the zone onto the virtual scan line thereby generating a sequence of gray scale values associated with the virtual scan line, the sequence of gray scale values representative of a pattern of elements of the target bar code. The decoding system decodes the target bar code utilizing the sequence of values associated with the virtual scan line.

摘要: A data set processing method for Raman spectroscopy systems using tunable lasers and multielement spectrometers compiles the spectral data set into an array and then estimates the background component, which is usually dominated by sample and optical train fluorescence, detector array dark current signal, fixed-pattern signal, and stray-light signals either modulated or non-modulated by in-path optics. This estimate is used as a baseline correction to the spectral data set to thereby isolate the sample's Raman response.

摘要: A transmitting terminal and a method for transmitting data are provided by the present invention, in which a multiple access mode is extended when transmitting upstream data. The method comprises: when the transmitting terminal transmits the upstream data, if the transmitting terminal has higher requirement on link performance than on time domain coverage, selecting the multiple access mode of OFDMA; and if the transmitting terminal has higher requirement on time domain coverage than on link performance, selecting the multiple access mode of SC-FDMA, and after selecting the multiple access mode, the transmitting terminal processing and then transmitting the data to be transmitted. The invention is adopted to solve the problem that a single multiple access mode cannot be well suitable in the related art, ensure the link performance of OFDMA, be beneficial to enhance the throughput of the entire network.

摘要: Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications, for various telemetry applications, such as meter reading, alarm applications or the like, utilize data communication service via a public mobile/wireless communication network, such as the short message service (SMS). However, such M2M communications may involve a large number of clients. To avoid the need to assign a telephone number, such as a mobile directory number (MDN) or the like, to each of the many remote M2M clients, routing through the network is based on another type of MSID (Mobile Station Identifier), such as the MIN (Mobile Identifier Number) or the IMSI (International Mobile Station Identifier) of the client. SMS messages transmissions originating at a client use a short code for the M2M application address, and SMS messages intended to terminate at a client use the MIN or IMSI as the routing address for the M2M device.

摘要: A method and apparatus for providing seamless transfer of a active call between cellular communication systems operating in different signal formats and different modes of handoff request initiation. An example being a mobile initiated CDMA/FDMA/TDMA system like IS-661 and a TDMA/FDMA network initiated system like PCS 1900. The system which initiates handoff requests internally is aware of all the IDs of all the BTSs of the other communication system with which it is to interact and the MSs monitors signals of both formats for maintaining a table of received signals from nearby cells, the cell IDs and signal quality, while maintaining an active call and the further ability to transmit a handover request on a command channel while in the active call mode.
