摘要： A communications system includes a physical layer hardware unit and a processing unit. The physical layer hardware unit is adapted to communicate data over a communications channel in accordance with assigned transmission parameters. The physical layer hardware unit is adapted to receive an incoming signal over the communications channel and sample the incoming signal to generate a digital received signal. The processing unit is adapted to execute a standard mode driver in a standard mode of operation and a privileged mode driver in a privileged mode of operation. The standard mode driver includes program instructions adapted to extract control codes from the digital received signal and configure the physical layer hardware assigned transmission parameters based on the control codes. The privileged mode driver includes program instructions adapted to independently extract secure control codes from the digital received signal, determine an operational characteristic of the physical layer hardware unit, and signal a security violation in response to the operational characteristic being inconsistent with the secure control codes.

摘要： Methods and apparatus are provided for trapping metastability events to provide a metastable-free output signal. Values of an input signal compared to at least three different threshold voltages are latched at a predetermined point in time. A first intermediate signal is activate when all of the at least three corresponding latched values are in a first logic state. A second intermediate signal is activated when all of the at least three corresponding latched values are in second logic state. An output signal is placed in a first predetermined logic state in response to the second intermediate signal and is changed from the first predetermined logic state to a second predetermined logic state in response to the first intermediate signal.

The same three landmarks in the second ultrasound dataset can be located to define a third coordinate system. 摘要： A system, method, and computer program product for processing data are described herein. The system maintains first databases of patents, and second databases of non-patent information of interest to a corporate entity. The system also maintains one or more groups. Each of the groups comprises any number of the patents from the first databases. The system, upon receiving appropriate operator commands, automatically processes the patents in one of the groups in conjunction with non-patent information from the second databases. Accordingly, the system performs patent-centric and group-oriented processing of data. A group can also include any number of non-patent documents. The groups may be product based, person based, corporate entity based, or user-defined. Other types of groups are also covered, such as temporary groups. The processing automatically performed by the system relates to (but is not limited to) patent mapping, document mapping, patent citation (both forward and backward), patent aging, patent bracketing/clustering (both forward and backward), inventor patent count, inventor employment information, patent claim tree analysis, and finance. Other functions and capabilities are also covered, including the ability to utilize hyperbolic trees to visualize data generated by the system, method, and computer program product.

摘要： The fluids have an oil-soluble boron content of about 0.001 to about 0.1%, an oil-soluble phosphorus content of about 0.005 to about 0.2%, and either no metal additive content or an oil-soluble metal content as one or more metal-containing additives of no more than about 100 ppm. Included in the fluids are: (a) at least 70 wt % of hydrogenated poly-.alpha.-olefin oligomer fluid with a viscosity in the range of 2-6 cSt at 100.degree. C.; (b) 2-20 wt % of acrylic viscosity index improver; (c) 4-25 wt % of oil-soluble dialkyl ester of a C.sub.4 to C.sub.14 .alpha.,.omega.-dicarboxylic acid with a pour point of -45.degree. C. or lower; (d) ashless dispersant; (e) friction modifier; and (f) oil-soluble inhibitors. The components are such that the fluid has (i) a KV of at least 6.8 cSt at 100.degree. C., (ii) a BV of 15,000 cP or less at -40.degree. C., (iii) a KV at 100.degree. C. of at least 6.0 cSt after 4 hours and at least 5.0 cSt after 20 hours in the Volkswagen taper roller bearing shear stability test. The fluids possess other excellent performance properties.

摘要： A meat injection machine has a fluid manifold with a plurality of fluid reservoirs, and a group of injection needles associated with each reservoir. Each needle is slidably mounted in a stripper tube which in turn is slidably mounted in the fluid manifold. A valve on the upper end of the stripper tube seats on a valve seat on the upper end of the needle. A stripper pad is mounted on the lower end of each stripper tube and slidably embraces the lower end of each needle. Each fluid reservoir has a fluid pressure regulator to adjust fluid pressure on each reservoir. The method of injecting fluid into meat entails weighing the meat product, injecting it with fluid, weighing the injected meat product, determining the ratio between these weights, comparing that ratio with a target ratio, and adjusting the time that the needles penetrate the meat product so that the next meat product will have its weight ratio adjusted towards the target ratio if a variance with the target ratio exists with respect to the first injected meat product.

When inflated, a six inch cushion of air is created inside the air chamber. A cotton liner is bonded to the underside of the rubber blanket. 摘要： A software system that simulates the appearance and operation of a calculator provides a user interface to graphic waveform data base manipulation software. The calculator includes a plural key calculator pad, with the keys in the pad being associable in the system with different vector operators. It also includes a subwindow area in which the symbolically encoded operands and operators that form the expression to be evaluated are maintained for viewing by the user. The calculator's keys, which may be operated by conventional cursor control means, are labeled with a descriptive legend representing the currently assigned operator. A post-fix operand entry protocol resembling that used in conventional scientific calculators is enforced for keypad input, while in-fix notation is used in the subwindow's representation of the expression to be evaluated. The calculator may be used, in conjunction with an interactive simulator, to facilitate the user interface to graphic waveform manipulation software.

摘要： The holder comprises a pot having a screw for fixing a tree stump in the pot chamber by clamping it against the opposite wall of the pot. The wall of the pot forms three inwardly and slightly upwardly extending cylindrical cavities at its base. Three legs are provided, one for each cavity. Each leg has a cylindrical spigot at its inner end and a main shank. The longitudinal axis of the spigot is offset slightly, relative to the axis of the shank. When the spigots are inserted into the cavities so that the legs are assembled with the pot and the assembly is nesting on a support surface, then manual rotation of a single leg will induce tilting of the pot. Thus there is provided a holder having a single screw clamping system and a rotatable leg levelling system.
