This disclosure provides a system and method for summarizing jobs for a user group. In one embodiment, a job manager is operable to invoke a job filter. The job filter is compatible with a plurality of operating environments. One or more properties of a first job associated with a first of the plurality of operating environments is identified. One or more properties of a second job associated with a second of the plurality of operating environments is identified. The first operating environment and the second operating environment are heterogeneous. The identified properties of the first job and the identified properties of the second job are compared to the job filter to select jobs for a user group.

The refrigeration unit is a chest freezer having a top lid and a hinge. The top lid is controlled by the control unit. The top lid moves between an open position and a closed position. A food package is stored in the refrigeration unit. A picking arm is mounted on a picking arm swivel. The picking arm has a pick suction tip that is vacuum driven. The picking arm is controlled by the control unit. The control unit is configured to control the picking arm to pick a food package from the refrigeration unit and move it to the microwave heating unit for heating.

A method and system for accumulating stillness characteristics is presented. The method and system generates field stillness characteristics for a current pixel of a current field. The field stillness characteristic is accumulated with an accumulated stillness characteristic that corresponds to a pixel location of the current pixel. The accumulated stillness characteristic includes stillness information regarding previous pixels of previous fields in the same pixel location as the current pixel.

A method and system for performing still pixel detection is presented. In accordance with the present invention, still pixel detection can use multiple thresholds and multiple windows of pixels. In a particular embodiment of the present invention, a still pixel detection test is performed using a first window. If the first window test determines the pixel is a still pixel then the pixel is classified as a still pixel. If the first window test determines the pixel is not a still pixel, a still pixel detection test is performed using a second window. If the second window test determines the pixel is a still pixel then the pixel is classified as a still pixel. Otherwise, the pixel is not classified as a still pixel. Some embodiment of the present invention the still pixel tests use multiple thresholds to determine if a pixel is a still pixel.

A method and apparatus for obtaining metadata from multiple information sources in real time are described. According to one aspect, the method includes receiving a user request pertaining to one or more of source metadata objects residing in multiple source metadata repositories. Each source metadata repository is maintained by a specific data management application. The method further includes responding to the user request in real time by identifying a data management application that corresponds to the source metadata objects associated with the user request and retrieving the source metadata objects using an application program interface (API) with the corresponding data management application.
