Abstract:
An operation method of a repeater performing relaying between a base station and a first terminal in a communication system may comprise: receiving one or more signals from at least one of the base station and the first terminal; performing monitoring on the one or more signals in a time interval for which a transmission direction is not determined by the base station; and determining the transmission direction of the time interval based on a result of the monitoring, wherein the one or more signals include at least one of a first signal received from the base station or a second signal received from the first terminal.

The communication device transmits a null data packet (NDP)-announcement (NDP-A) including information on a plurality of communication devices participating in interference alignment and transmits an NDP including a common signal field and a common training field commonly applied to the plurality of communication devices.
Abstract:
Provided is slot use control apparatus and method, including an access point (AP) to control a slotted channel access of a station (STA) in a wireless local area network (WLAN) includes generating a synchronization (synch) frame including an identification value indicating an STA allocated to a slot, and broadcasting the generated synch frame when a channel is in an idle state at a start point of the slot.
Abstract:
Provided is a sector discovery apparatus and method, the method including setting, by an AP in a WLAN system, an omni-beacon interval for transmitting an omnidirectional beacon and sector beacon intervals for transmitting a sector beacon with respect to one of a plurality of sectors which are spatially divided, transmitting the sector beacon to a current sector among the plurality of sectors, transmitting, to the current sector, a transmission frame indicating sectorized transmission or a transmission frame indicating omnidirectional transmission, in a sector interval between the sector beacon intervals, and receiving, from a terminal located in the current sector, a response frame indicating an association performed by receiving the transmission frame indicating the sectorized transmission.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for close-proximity communication. The close-proximity communication method performed by a transmitter includes generating a physical layer (PHY) frame including a PHY preamble, a frame header, and a payload field, and transmitting the generated PHY frame to a receiver, in which the frame header may include a media access control (MAC) header, a header check sequence (HCS), and a Reed-Solomon (RS) parity bit.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a protocol for transmitting data through cooperation between access points in an overlapped basic service set (OBSS) environment. A cooperative beamforming communication method may include negotiating, by a first access point, a cooperative transmit beamforming with a second access point having an OBSS area with the first access point; transmitting, by the first access point, a clear-to-send (CTS) to the second access point; and performing, by the first access point, the cooperative transmit beamforming with the second access point during a cooperative transmit beamforming duration determined through the negotiation after a predetermined time interval is elapsed, when transmission of the CTS is completed.
Abstract:
A method for cooperative beamforming communication, is described including negotiating, at a first access point, a cooperative transmit beamforming with a second access point having an overlapped basic service set (OBSS) area with the first access point, and transmitting, from the first access point, a clear-to-send (CTS) signal to the second access point. The method, upon detecting at the first access point a completion of transmission of the CTS signal, performs at the first access point the cooperative transmit beamforming with the second access point during a time duration of the cooperative transmit beamforming and after a predetermined time interval has elapsed.
Abstract:
A scanning method in a wireless local area network (WLAN) system is provided. The scanning method includes transmitting by a station a probe request frame via a channel, and receiving by the station a probe response frame from a target access point (AP) to respond to the probe request frame. The probe request frame includes at least one of information regarding a response reception time and preference information regarding the target AP.
Abstract:
A frame scheduling method performed by a wireless local area network (WLAN) terminal that transmits a frame in a WLAN system is provided. The method includes enqueuing a transmission target frame to a first stage queue corresponding to the transmission target frame among a plurality of first stage queues generated by recipient addresses and traffic identifiers (TIDs) of reception stations, dequeuing, by a first stage scheduler, a first frame from a queue selected from among the plurality of first stage queues and transmitting the same to one of a plurality of second stage queues, and transmitting, by a second stage scheduler, a second frame of a queue selected from among the plurality of second stage queues.
