摘要: Methods for initiating one or more maintenance procedures on a conveyer system employ a load cell assembly that is supported by a link of a conveyor chain of the system in order to collect tension measurements. According to preferred methods, one or more threshold values for a rate of change in tension along particular portions of a circuit, around which the chain is driven, and/or for a variation in tension profile, from one cycle to another around the circuit, are established for comparison with tension measurements that are collected and/or processed by the load cell assembly, in order to detect operating issues and initiate the appropriate maintenance procedure(s). According to some methods, plots of the rate of change of tension versus time are generated and displayed for an operator to view.

摘要: A portable multi-channel device for optically testing of a liquid sample includes a controller; and a sample holder with a cylindrical sample compartment and at least two optical channels respectively for measuring turbidity of the sample liquid and for measuring one other optical property of the sample liquid. Each of the optical channels including: a light source placed at one end of the channel, a main detector placed across the sample compartment from the light source, a reference detector for measuring an intensity of light emitted by the light source, and an excitation focusing optic for directing a light emitted by the light source through the sample compartment towards the main detector. Signals from the reference detector of the channel, the main detector of the channel, and another main detector of another channel perpendicular to the channel are processed by the controller to evaluate the turbidity of the liquid sample.

摘要: A sensor array includes a plurality of sensors connected to two or more groups of wires such that individual sensors can be addressed. No two sensors are connected to the same two wires. The groups of wires are connected to multiplexers or the like to address particular wires connecting a unique sensor. Dramatically improved accuracy is obtained by connecting rectifiers in series with the sensors to significantly reduce reverse current through a sensor that can lead to significant errors. 摘要: A turbidity measuring system is provided with a chamber and a sensor having a watertight housing, a light source, a first light focusing device for focusing a light emitted from the light source and passing therethough into a sample liquid, a second light focusing device for collecting at least one scattered light resulted form the focused light when passing the sample liquid, a photodiode for receiving the collected light thereby generating electronic signals, and an electronic board for processing the electronic signals. In particular, the watertight housing has a tilted bottom, the light detector includes at least two photodiodes for detecting separated turbidity measuring ranges, or an insert is placed at the bottom of the chamber having first and second insert channels each of whose axis pointing toward an axis of one of the cylindrically-shaped channels in the watertight housing in order to trap light.

摘要: An optical sensor may include a sensor head that has an optical window for directing light into a flow of fluid and/or receiving optical energy from the fluid. The optical sensor may also include a flow chamber that includes a housing defining a cavity into which the sensor head can be inserted. In some examples, the flow chamber includes an inlet port defining a flow nozzle that is configured to direct fluid entering the flow chamber against the optical window of the sensor head. In operation, the force of the incoming fluid impacting the optical window may prevent fouling materials from accumulating on the optical window.

摘要: An infrared spectrometer for the determination of isotopic ratios of gaseous compounds includes a broad-band infrared light source, a spectral selector, a sample compartment, an infrared detector, and a processor. The spectral selector selectively transmits a wavelength window of infrared light covering a range of wavelengths in which the wavelength window can be selected alternatively to overlap with a wavelength range primarily absorbed by a compound with a first isotope or by the compound with a second isotope. The sample compartment holds a gas sample and includes a gas inlet and a gas outlet. The infrared spectrometer can be used to detect isotopic ratios of carbon dioxide, where enhancement of 13CO2 can indicate metabolic activity of an infection, for example by H. pylori, or of specific enzymes. Preferred embodiments use a particular multipass optical cell that includes a field mirror and a multi-segment objective mirror.

摘要: Embodiments provide a handheld optical measuring device and method of measuring an optical property of a liquid sample. In some embodiments the optical measuring device includes a handheld controller module having an immersible sensor head and a sampling member including a sample cup and an attachment member that couples the sample cup to the handheld controller module. In some embodiments the attachment member is an elongated rigid member that is hingedly coupled to the controller module, thus providing a folding configuration for enclosing the sensor head with the sample cup during measurements, transportation, and/or storage. In some embodiments the attached sample cup provides a protective shell for the immersible sensor head during use and/or when not in use.

摘要: A system and associated processes monitor hand hygiene compliance. The system includes hand hygiene product dispensers positioned within areas of concern (AOC) in a facility in which hand hygiene events are to be monitored. The dispensers detect dispense events initiated at the dispenser and transmit a dispense event signal indicative that a dispense event occurred along with dispenser identification information. The system also includes a plurality of compliance badges, each worn by a different person in the facility. Each compliance badge receives dispense event signals corresponding dispenser identification information associated with dispense events initiated by the wearer of the compliance badge. The badges store dispense event records associated with each dispense event initiated by the wearer and thus keep track of all dispense events initiated by the wearer of the compliance badge. One or more data gathering stations positioned at various locations through the facility receive the dispense event information from the individual badges when they come within range. The dispense event information may then be transferred to a local or remote computer for analysis and reporting on hand hygiene events taking place within the facility.
