    Abstract: A system and a method for transporting high luminous intensity light from at least one luminaire to a destination area are disclosed. The system may include a light guide that carries light from the luminaire to a plurality of sensors located on a Printed Circuit Board (PCB). The PCB may be attachable anywhere the luminaire is located. According to an aspect, the luminaire is a separate entity from the sensor system. While collecting light rays originating from the luminaire and delivering them to the light sensors, the light guide may perform a plurality of operations to modify the characteristics of the collected light rays. The plurality of operations performed by the light guide on the light rays may support the accuracy and longevity of the light sensors on the PCB. Further, the light guide allows the sensor subsystem to be proximal to or distant from the luminaire.

    Abstract: An electronic 2-way communication module suitable for 2-way communication with a luminaire is disclosed. The module may be installed into the power supply to the luminaire, and includes a housing assembly, live and neutral power input terminals, live and neutral power output terminals, a power supply unit, a dimmer unit controller, a wireless communication interface adapted to receive data/operating instructions and to relay data to a remote repository, and a wired connection between the electronic 2-way communication module and the luminaire. The wired connection may provide the 2-way transmission of data between the module and the luminaire and vice versa.

    Abstract: According to some embodiments, a system and method for determining a best path in a mesh network is disclosed. The method comprises collecting path information from a plurality of nodes in a mesh network during normal network operation of the mesh network. A first of the plurality of nodes is associated with an application that transmits high-density data packets and a second of the plurality of nodes in the mesh network is to function as a target station for receiving the high-density data packets. A best path to transmit the high-density data packets to the target station based on the collected path information is determined and the best path is transmitted to the plurality of nodes in the mesh network for initiating transmission of the high-density data packets to the target station via the best path.

    Abstract: According to some embodiments a system may control connected modules within a lighting fixture. The system may comprise a power supply that includes a first input to receive AC power, a second input to receive a control signal, and an output to transmit DC power. A light emitting diode (LED) array may receive DC power from the power supply. A master control unit may receive DC power from the power supply. The master control unit may comprise a first control line to send a control signal to the power supply to control the LED array and a second control line to control one or more modules. The system may further comprises one or more connectors mounted to a circuit board where at least one of the one or more connectors is electrically coupled to the output of the power supply and the second control line.
