摘要: A building platform substrate for 3D printing in a Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) 3D printer is disclosed. The platform substrate includes a paper layer that is re-pulpable in water, a water-soluble top coat layer on one side of the paper layer, a water-soluble adhesive layer on an other side of the paper layer, and a lay flat release liner on an exposed surface of the adhesive layer. A 3D printer having a removable Z-axis platen for accepting the building platform substrate and a method of manufacturing the platform substrate are also disclosed.

摘要: The present disclosure is drawn to a coated print medium, a method of preparing a print medium, and a printing system. The coated print medium can comprise a substrate and a coating applied to the substrate. The coating can comprise, by dry weight, 5 wt % to 30 wt % of a polymeric binder, 20 wt % to 50 wt % of a cationic latex, 5 wt % to 15 wt % of a multivalent cationic salt, 1 wt % to 20 wt % of an optical brightener, and 1 wt % to 10 wt % of an anti-quenching agent selected from the group consisting of a sulfonated diphenyloxide, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, and combination thereof. In this example, if the polymeric binder is polyvinyl pyrrolidone, the anti-quenching agent is the sulfonated diphenyloxide.

摘要: The present disclosure provides pre-treatment coatings, media substrates, and related methods. As such, a pre-treatment coating can include an evaporable solvent, a matrix, and a wax. The matrix can include a binder and a fixer, and the wax can include wax particles dispersed within the matrix. At least a portion of the wax particles can have a particle size that is greater than a thickness of the matrix when the pre-treatment coating is applied to a media substrate at a basis weight from 0.5 gsm to 20 gsm and the evaporable solvent removed.

摘要: The present disclosure provides pre-treatment compositions and related methods. As such, a pre-treatment coating for a print medium can include a an evaporable solvent, a matrix, and a wax. The matrix can include from 5 wt % to 20 wt % of a fixer, from 5 wt % to 20 wt % of a low Tg latex, and from 30 wt % to 80 wt % of a high Tg latex. The wax can include from 5 wt % to 30 wt % of a wax. The weight percentages of the matrix and the wax are based on a total amount present in the pre-treatment coating after removal of solvent.

摘要: The present disclosure provides pre-treatment compositions and related methods. As such, a pre-treatment coating composition can include an evaporable liquid vehicle and a pre-treatment coating matrix. The pre-treatment coating matrix can include from 5 wt % to 40 wt % multivalent metal salt, and from 5 wt % to 20 wt % coalescent latex binder comprising styrene-butadiene rubber, polyurethane, or mixture thereof. The composition can further include from 30 wt % to 80 wt % high Tg latex having a Tg greater than 80° C., from 0.5 wt % to 20 wt % water soluble binder, and from 3 wt % to 20 wt % wax having a melting point greater than 120° C. The weight percentages of the pre-treatment coating matrix exclude the evaporable liquid vehicle content.
