Abstract: Examples provided herein describe a method for managing power consumption of a network. For example, a network device may monitor a set of network area zones of a network coverage area, where each network area zone is associated with a set of edge devices. A first occupancy state may be determined for a first network area zone of the set of network area zones based on usage of a first set of edge devices of the first network area zone. Based on the determined first occupancy state, a first power consumption policy for the first network area zone may be determined. Responsive to determining the first power consumption policy, the determined first power consumption policy may be applied to the first set of edge devices in the first network area zone at least edge changing a power consumption mode of a first edge device in the first set of edge devices.

Abstract: Various aspects of the subject technology relate to methods, systems, and machine-readable media for classifying interfering devices. The method includes collecting data samples from a set of known interfering devices, the data samples having characteristics of the set of known interfering devices. The method also includes compiling known feature vectors corresponding to the characteristics of the set of known interfering devices. The method also includes executing the known feature vectors on machine learning algorithms to train the machine learning algorithms to classify the set of known interfering devices. The method also includes generating a machine learning model based on performances of the machine learning algorithms, the machine learning model including at least one of the machine learning algorithms. The method also includes executing future feature vectors corresponding to a set of future interfering devices on the machine learning model to classify the set of future interfering devices.

Abstract: A method of adjusting a link in a wireless communication system is described. The method includes monitoring a communication channel by a network device in a wireless local area network. The method also includes detecting a signal identified as being transmitted by an unmanned aerial vehicle on the communication channel. The method further includes transmitting a signal with a duty cycle having a predetermined value in the communication channel and monitoring a received signal strength indicator of the signal identified from the unmanned aerial vehicle. In some embodiments, the transmitted signal includes one or more of an interference signal, a de-authentication frame, and a disassociation frame.

Abstract: An access point may include a radio. The radio may receive a waveform, and the waveform may comprise a plurality of pulses. The access point may further include a hardware processor coupled to the radio. The hardware processor may determine a model of the received waveform. Determining a model of the received waveform may include extracting a plurality of characteristics corresponding to the received waveform, determining a plurality of parameters, wherein each of the plurality of parameters is based on a corresponding characteristic of the plurality of characteristics, and constructing an output waveform model based on the plurality of parameters, wherein the output waveform model corresponds to the received waveform. The hardware processor may further transmit the output waveform model to the hardware processor as an input waveform, wherein the input waveform is to tune the model. Moreover, the access point may include a dynamic frequency switching (DFS) module coupled to the hardware processor to receive the output waveform model.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for learning radio frequency pulses transmitted at various frequencies in a wireless environment, including false radar signals and actual radar. For example, the system can keep a list of radio frequency pulse characteristics detected by access points (APs) but ignored when not declared a radar. The detected radio frequency pulse can be compared with those on the list and may be added to the deny-list if not radar. The AP learns what intervals are normal for the communication environment and if the noise someday looks like a real radar (but it not actually a radar), it will not be classified as radar because it is on the deny-list.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to intelligent scheduling of Wi-Fi services for applications. An embodiment of computer-readable storage mediums includes instructions for receiving data packets from multiple connected devices at a wireless access point and identifying an application traffic flow for each data packet; assigning each data packet to a respective queue of a first set of queues based on an identified application traffic flow for each data packet; selecting data packets from the first set of queues based on priorities for each of multiple applications; generating prioritized candidate lists for selected data packets in a second set of queues, each queue being dedicated for an access category for one or more application; and scheduling data packets from the candidate lists, including selecting a transmission mode for each access category based on characteristics of the one or more applications.
