    摘要: An electromechanical brake system for a vehicle has a brake actuator installed to each wheel of the vehicle and a controller for controlling an operation of each brake actuator. The brake actuator is constituted to clamp a disc rotor by a pair of brake pads through a rotational motion converting mechanism according to an operation of the motor. The rotational motion converting mechanism is constituted by a screw shaft integrally connected to a rotation shaft of the motor and a ball screw screwed with the screw shaft and integrally connected to one of the pair of brake pads. When the vehicle is put in a stopping state, the controller drives the motor so that an ordinary use region of the screw shaft, which is contacted with balls of the ball nut during a brake operation, is faced with a lubricant hole formed at an end portion of the ball nut.

    摘要: A pressure control actuator suitable for an automotive brake control system comprises a pressure-regulation cylinder slidably enclosing a piston and cooperative with the piston for defining therein a variable-volume pressure chamber which is fluidly connected to a wheel cylinder, a shut-off valve through which the variable-volume chamber is connected to a master cylinder, a motor-driven thrust generator drivingly connected to the piston for producing a thrust, and a heavily pre-loaded return spring for biasing the piston in a first direction opposite to a second direction in which the piston is pushed by the master-cylinder pressure shut-up in the chamber, when the piston is displaced apart from its neutral position in the second direction so that the volume of the chamber is enlarged. A pre-load of the spring is set to balance with a force acting on the piston by a maximum master-cylinder pressure introduced into the chamber. In the absence of thrust acting on the piston after termination of the ABS pressure-reduction control, the piston quickly and precisely returns to the neutral position. Zero-thrust ensures a quick recovery of the piston to the neutral position at the aid of light braking action after termination of the TCS pressure-intensifying control.

    摘要: A hydraulic brake actuator for use in an automobile brake system which includes a master cylinder to be operated by a driver and a wheel cylinder connected to the master cylinder through a hydraulic circuit for applying a braking force to a wheel. The actuator is capable of performing anti-skid control function and/or traction control function, and includes a control cylinder device having a chamber which is connected to the wheel cylinder and adapted to be selectively connected to the master cylinder and disconnected therefrom. A piston is axially displaceably accommodated in the chamber for changing the volume of the chamber. A valve device has inlet and outlet ports connected to the master cylinder and the chamber, respectively, and is operatively connected to the piston so as to be opened or closed in response to the displacement of the piston.

    摘要: An active suspension system for an automotive vehicle is provided. This suspension system includes generally a hydraulic circuit which supplies pressurized fluid to hydraulic cylinders for controlling vehicle height and attitude. The hydraulic circuit includes a line pressure holding unit and a line pressure control unit. The line pressure holding unit is operable to hold the line pressure when the line pressure is lowered below a preselected pressure level after stopping supply of the pressurized fluid to the hydraulic cylinders. The line pressure control unit restricts a flow rate of the pressurized fluid to the hydraulic cylinders to build up the line pressure gradually until the line pressure reaches the preselected pressure level after starting the supply of pressurized fluid to the hydraulic cylinders to allow smooth adjustment of vehicle height and attitude.
