Abstract:
A network slice selection policy updating method and an apparatus are disclosed. The method includes sending, by a terminal device, configured network selection assistance information on the terminal device to an AMF, where the network selection assistance information includes a first slice identifier. The method further includes receiving, by the terminal device, allowed network selection assistance information and indication information that are returned by the AMF, where the allowed network selection assistance information includes a second slice identifier, and the indication information indicates that the second slice identifier corresponds to the first slice identifier. This can prevent the terminal device from initiating an unnecessary session establishment procedure, and save network resources.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a QoS guarantee method. In one example method, a control plane gateway obtains a QoS parameter. The QoS parameter comprises an allocation/retention priority (ARP) and a QoS class identifier (QCI). The control plane gateway maps the QoS parameter to QoS guarantee information. The QoS guarantee information comprises a differentiated services code point (DSCP) parameter. The control plane gateway sends the QoS guarantee information to a user plane gateway. The QoS guarantee information is to be used by the user plane gateway for QoS marking.
Abstract:
A data processing method, a device, and a system for a storage unit in order to avoid performing repeated data read operations on the storage unit where the method includes recording, by a first server for at least one storage unit used to store data, information about a storage unit in which a repairable fault occurs but repairing fails, querying, by the first server each time a request for reading data is received, whether the storage unit corresponding to the recorded information about the storage unit stores a part or all of the data, and when the storage unit corresponding to the recorded information stores the data, returning, to a requesting party that sends the request, a message indicating that reading the data fails, or otherwise, reading the data from a storage unit that stores the data, and feeding back the data to the requesting party that sends the request.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the communication field and discloses a method, an apparatus, and a system for processing device faults, which are used to recover the device fault in a timely manner and improve user's service experience. The processing method includes: receiving a connection deletion request message sent by a network device in the case of a fault, where the connection deletion request message includes a global packet data network connection identifier FQ-CSID; locally deleting a packet data network PDN connection related to the FQ-CSID, or retaining a PDN connection related to the FQ-CSID and receiving downlink data corresponding to the PDN connection; and performing a network-triggered service recovery procedure. The solutions provided in the present invention are applicable to device fault recovery scenarios.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a system for implementing User Equipment (UE) handover are disclosed. A Mobility Management Entity (MME) obtains address information of a serving Interworking Function (IWF) by interacting with a function entity in a network and notifies the IWF to process handover according to the obtained IWF address information, so that the MME is capable of obtaining the address information of the serving IWF. Therefore, the normal proceeding of a UE handover procedure in a Circuit Switched over Packet Switched (CSoEPS) scenario is ensured.

Abstract:
This application provides an example group management method, apparatus, and system. The example group management method includes receiving a first group request from an application function network element, where the first group request includes indication information, an external group identifier, and first group information, and where the indication information indicates a group service type, and the external group identifier is a group identifier that is not identified by a network element by a network element inside a core network, in response to that the group service type is creating a group, obtaining an internal group identifier corresponding to the external group identifier, and associating the internal group identifier, the external group identifier, and the first group information, where internal group identifier is a group identifier that is identified by the network element inside the core network.
Abstract:
A quality of service (QoS) parameter processing method and a system, where the method includes obtaining, by a control plane device, a core network (CN) packet delay budget (PDB) between a first access network device and a first user plane function device, sending, by the control plane device, the CN PDB to the first access network device, determining, by the first access network device, an access network (AN) PDB between a terminal device and the first access network device based on the CN PDB and an end-to-end PDB between the terminal device and the first user plane function device, and scheduling, by the first access network device, an air interface resource between the terminal device and the first access network device based on the AN PDB.

Abstract:
A method for establishing a tunnel between local gateways, and a gateway are disclosed. The method includes: determining, by an RGW, that UE is handed over from an S-LGW to a T-LGW, where before the UE is handed over, a packet of a local service of the UE is forwarded by the S-LGW between the UE and an application server of the local service, and the local service includes a same service that is deployed on the S-LGW and that is accessed by the UE before and after the UE is handed over; sending, by the RGW to the S-LGW and the T-LGW respectively, a first request message and a second request message to request to establish a tunnel, where the tunnel is used to transmit the packet of the local service between the S-LGW and the T-LGW; and establishing the tunnel between the S-LGW and the T-LGW.
