    摘要: A disk for a hard disk drive. The disk includes a S1 layer of magnetic material located over a substrate, and a layer of ruthenium located over the S1 layer. The disk further includes a top layer of magnetic material and a layer of chromium located adjacent to the top magnetic layer. The chromium diffuses into the top layer of magnetic material to magnetically decouple the grains of the magnetic material. Decoupling the grains of the magnetic material reduces the magnetic noise of the disk and improves the signal to noise ratio of the hard disk drive.

    摘要: A method for fabricating a patterned disk of a hard disk drive. The method includes forming a layer of magnetic material over a substrate and then forming a sacrificial flash layer over the layer of magnetic material. A co-polymer material is formed over the sacrificial flash layer and then a plurality of magnetic dots separated by a non-magnetic material are formed in the magnetic layer. The flash layer is preferably a FePt material with a non-magnetic Ag or Cu based alloy. Such material not only provides good adhesion between the co-polymer and magnetic layers but also diffuses into the grains of the magnetic material. The diffusion of the non-magnetic flash layer between the grains of the magnetic material reduces magnetic cross-talk and improves the signal to noise ratio of the disk.

Predetermined processing is performed on the registered web site if the web site is determined to be a deceptive site. The source file is preferably an HTML document.

    摘要: Pouch-type lithium polymer batteries and a methods for manufacturing them are disclosed. One such battery comprises a wound electrode assembly comprising positive and negative electrode plates and a separator. Positive and negative electrode tabs are attached to the positive and negative electrode plates and extend from the electrode assembly. The electrode assembly is encased within a pouch which comprises a cavity and a cover. The positive and negative electrode tabs extend outside the pouch. A protective circuit module is electrically connected to the positive and negative electrode tabs and is molded with, or encased in a resin to form a protective circuit construction which is positioned against a front surface of the pouch. The pouch-type lithium polymer batteries of this invention can be used in external apparatuses such as laptop computers or PDAs. The protective circuit constructions of this invention are not short-circuited to external circuits of the external apparatuses.

    摘要: An interconnect that may reduce a head slider's exposure to electrostatic discharge events and may dissipate charging of the head is provided. Conductive and nonconductive adhesives are used to adhere a head slider to the interconnect. An electromagnetic interference generating circuit generates current that flows through the conductive adhesive bonding the head slider to the flexure arm. The electromagnetic interference current breaks down the resistance of the conductive adhesive to dissipate an electrostatic voltage charge on the head slider. This may prolong the life of the head slider and a read/write head coupled to the head slider.
