    Abstract: An electronic device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The manufacturing method of the electronic device includes forming a circuit substrate. Forming the circuit substrate includes providing a base material, wherein the base material has a first side and a second side opposite to each other. A contact pad is formed on the first side. An electronic element is provided. A conductive bump is formed on the contact pad, wherein the electronic element is bonded onto the circuit substrate via the conductive bump. A laser is applied to an area of the second side of the base material corresponding to the contact pad.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing an electronic device, including the following steps, is provided. A first dielectric layer and a second dielectric layer are provided. The first dielectric layer has a first surface and a second surface opposite to each other, and the second dielectric layer has a third surface and a fourth surface opposite to each other. A first unit is formed on the first surface or the second surface of the first dielectric layer. The first dielectric layer and the second dielectric layer are combined to form a substrate structure. The second surface of the first dielectric layer faces the third surface of the second dielectric layer. A dielectric loss of the first unit is less than a dielectric loss of the first dielectric layer. The method of manufacturing the electronic device of the embodiment of the disclosure can reduce the dielectric loss by using the unit.

    Abstract: A display device is provided. The display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a patterned electrode, a switch unit, and a liquid-crystal layer doped with a chiral dopant. The second substrate is disposed corresponding to the first substrate, and the patterned electrode is disposed on the first substrate or the second substrate. The switch unit is disposed adjacent to the patterned electrode. The liquid-crystal layer doped with the chiral dopant is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. In addition, an edge of the patterned electrode that is closest to the switch unit has an open area and a closed area, wherein the open area is adjacent to the closed area, and the patterned electrode extends a connecting portion out from the closed area and the connecting portion is connected to the switch unit.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a panel including a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid-crystal layer including a left-handed chiral dopant, a first polarizing plate, a second polarizing plate and a patterned electrode. The first polarizing plate has a first absorption axis perpendicular to a second absorption axis of the second polarizing plate. The patterned electrode has a sub-portion that includes a plurality of branch portions. A first included angle is between one of the branch portions and the first absorption axis. A second included angle is between one of the branch portions and the second absorption axis. While the patterned electrode is disposed between the first substrate and the liquid-crystal layer, the first included angle is greater than the second included angle. While the patterned electrode is disposed between the second substrate and the liquid-crystal layer, the first included angle is smaller than the second included angle.

    Abstract: A liquid-crystal display includes a first substrate including several sub-pixels. A micro-structure layer is formed on the first substrate, and the micro-structure layer corresponding to one of the sub-pixels includes a first main trunk portion, a second main trunk portion crossed the first main trunk portion, and several striped branch portions. The striped branch portions are connected with the first and second main trunk portions, wherein an angle is formed between the striped branch portions and the first main trunk portion, and the striped branch portions are alternately arranged with a pitch. A first electrode layer is conformally formed on the micro-structure layer. Specifically, the pitch in one of the sub-pixels is different from the pitch in another one of the sub-pixels, or the angle in one of the sub-pixels is different from the angle in another one of the sub-pixels.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal (LC) display device includes a first substrate having a pixel unit and a second substrate.
