摘要: A scroll type machine is disclosed which incorporates an improved mounting arrangement for the non-orbiting scroll member which mounting arrangement greatly facilitates manufacturing and assembly, effectively prevents radial displacement of the non-orbiting scroll member, and offers the advantages of axial compliance. In one embodiment, the non-orbiting scroll is axially movably secured to a bearing housing by means of a plurality of bolts or bolts and sleeves. In another embodiment a rigid annular ring serves to axially movably secure the non-orbiting scroll to the bearing housing while in a third embodiment a stamped ring is secured to both the non-orbiting scroll and the bearing housing. In another embodiment a two piece main bearing housing includes an integral ring for radially positioning the non-orbiting scroll member and means for securing anti-rotation and axial stop means thereto.

摘要: There is disclosed a scroll-type machine suited for use as a gaseous fluid compressor. The machine incorporates symmetrical scroll members of substantially one wrap that have modified inner ends to provide continued sealing to a single separation point. The one wrap configuration and modified ends provide a very compact compressor design that enhances manufacturability and yet is able to deliver fluid gas with much greater pressure ratio versatility than conventional multi-wrap scroll compressors. The machine incorporates a discharge valve in the discharge port that allows various pressure ratios to be attained for a variety of end uses.

摘要: A compressor includes an orbiting member and a non-orbiting member mounted relative the orbiting member to define first and second chambers disposed between the orbiting and non-orbiting members. The non-orbiting member forms a seal to generally prevent fluid communication between the first and second chambers when in a first position and breaks the seal to allow fluid communication between the first and second chambers when in a second position. A structure supports the orbiting and non-orbiting members for relative orbital movement therebetween and a time pulsed actuation apparatus is coupled to the structure and configured to selectively break the seal.

摘要: A method includes operating a compressor with a vapor injection system and selectively supplying vapor to the compressor during compressor operation through actuation of a first control valve. The method further includes closing the first control valve to prevent vapor from entering the compressor for a first predetermined time period leading up to stopping operation of the compressor and stopping the compressor with the first control valve in the closed position. The compressor is started with the first control valve in the closed position and the first control valve is maintained in the closed position for a second predetermined time period following starting of the compressor. The first control valve is opened to supply vapor to the compressor after the second predetermined time period.

摘要: A heat pump operable in a heating mode and in a cooling mode includes a first heat exchanger and a second heat exchanger. A compressor is in fluid communication with each of the first and second heat exchangers and includes a vapor injection port. A third heat exchanger is in fluid communication with each of the first and second heat exchangers and the compressor and includes a liquid side having an inlet and an outlet and a vapor side having an inlet and an outlet. A vapor injection line fluidly couples the vapor injection port and the outlet of the vapor side. An expansion device is in fluid communication with the inlet of the vapor side to control a volume of liquid entering the vapor side and to expand the liquid prior to entering the vapor side.

摘要: A system includes a scroll compressor having a first scroll member interleaved with a second scroll member to define at least two moving fluid pockets that decrease in size as they move from a radially outer position to a radially inner position. A valve in fluid communication with the compression chamber is movable between an open state allowing fluid to the compression chamber and a closed state preventing fluid to the compression chamber. A controller continuously cycles the valve between the open state and the closed state at a rate that is faster than a thermal time constant of a load on the system.

摘要: A scroll machine designed to provide an unbalanced loading of the orbiting scroll and anti-rotation coupling in a direction which adds to the moment caused by contact forces between the scroll wraps during normal operation. The loading decreases the sound level of the machine and is achieved through the use of unbalanced flank gas leakage forces and flank contact forces, which are created by providing a targeted initial swing radius bias and/or a generating radius bias to either one or both of the scroll wraps. The generating radius biasing can be singular or plural on a given scroll wrap set. A number of different techniques for obtaining such biasing are disclosed.
