摘要: A method for processing and transducing audio signals. An audio system has a first audio signal and a second audio signal that have amplitudes. A method for processing the audio signals includes dividing the first audio signal into a first spectral band signal and a second spectral band signal; scaling the first spectral band signal by a first scaling factor proportional to the amplitude of the second audio signal; and scaling the first spectral band signal by a second scaling factor to create a second signal portion. Other portions of the disclosure include application of the signal processing method to multichannel audio systems, and to audio systems having different combinations of directional loudspeakers, full range loudspeakers, and limited range loudspeakers.

摘要: A method of operating an employment system is provided. The method includes generating a score for each of a plurality of possible results compared to information associated with a user, enabling the user to access a result of the plurality of possible results if the score generated for the result meets a threshold condition, enabling the user to adjust the threshold condition and preventing the user from adjusting the threshold condition beyond a minimum threshold condition. The score can be a bi-directional matching score. The minimum threshold condition can include a minimum score. The minimum score can be determined based on the percentage of the plurality of possible results that would be accessible to the user.

摘要: An improved slip resistant component comprising a new type of nib, called a cleat, for providing superior resistance to unwanted floor covering movement. The preferred cleat has a triangular profile and projects from the bottom surface of the mat at an angle. The cleat also is aligned in a particular direction to best resist the forces commonly encountered in a floor mat. There may be an array of cleats aligned in several directions in order to resist forces from virtually any direction. Other features of the present invention include contour lines to insure the floor covering conforms to the contour of the floor board (for automotive applications), an ergonomic heel pad for providing comfort to the heel, foot and leg of the driver, and a new cellular topography for catching and retaining dirt, debris and water.

摘要: An improved soft style snowboard boot which is internally reinforced by a multi-piece boot support assembly that includes a rigid molded plastic shank portion, a semi-rigid molded heel cup portion, and a molded or die-cut plastic highback portion. The shank portion is designed to resist flex, and provide ergonomic support for the foot, and further includes molded-in features which permit positive mechanical fastening of conventional step-in binding attachment structure, to the outsole of the boot. A pair of length adjustable tensioning strap members are connected between the shank and highback portions and when tightened the straps induce a desired forward lean in the highback portion. The straps may be tightened independently of each other to provide a desired side bias, left or right, to the highback portion. In one embodiment, the straps are contained within the outer boot portion. In another embodiment, the straps are routed exteriorly of the outer boot portion for more convenient forward lean adjustment. In another embodiment, a linerless snowboard both with adjustable ankle support is disclosed. In still another embodiment, an all exterior version of the boot support assembly for a soft style snowboard boot is disclosed.

摘要: A capacitance sensing system can include a noise detector coupled to a capacitance sensing network that generates a noise detect signal in response to noise; a delay circuit coupled to generate at least two different delayed sense signals in response to outputs from the capacitance sensing network; and a switch circuit that selectively outputs one of the delayed sense signals in response to the noise detect signal. Particular embodiments can include selectively discarding discrete analog samples of a capacitance signal when noise is detected in such a sample.

摘要: A computer-based method of generating an animated sequence of images eliminates inefficiencies associated with a lighting process. The method begins with the provision of a frame for the animation sequence. The frame includes at least one asset, which may be a character, background, or other object. The frame is rendered to thereby produce a set of images each based upon a different lighting condition. The frame is then composited during which a subset of the images are selected from the set and then adjusted. Settings such as intensity and color balance are adjusted for each of the subset of images.
