Abstract: A control system for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a sensor configured to detect a concentration of refrigerant in air. The control system also includes a controller configured to receive feedback from the sensor indicative of the concentration of refrigerant in air, determine that the concentration of refrigerant in air is less than a threshold value, and determine that the HVAC system is in an operating mode. The controller is configured to operate a blower of the HVAC system for a predetermined time period based on the determinations that the concentration of refrigerant in air is less than the threshold value and that the HVAC system is in the operating mode.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that calibrate a defrost threshold used to determine when a heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system enters a defrost mode, and, more particularly, determine frost temperature differences used to determine the defrost threshold when the HVAC system is in a stable condition. A frost temperature difference is a difference between an outdoor ambient temperature and a refrigerant temperature. The HVAC system determines that it is in the stable condition by determining that a standard deviation of a current frost temperature difference from a previous frost temperature difference is below a standard deviation threshold. When the HVAC system is in the stable condition, the frost temperature differences are determined, and the defrost threshold is determined from the frost temperature differences.

Abstract: A tangible, non-transitory, machine-readable medium includes instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to determine an active operating condition of the heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system based on the active operating data related to the HVAC system, retrieve an existing service log having a maintenance procedure corresponding to the active operating condition of the HVAC system, and record an entry service log. The entry service log includes the active operating data, the active operating condition, and an updated version of the maintenance procedure corresponding to the active operating condition.
