摘要： An unmanned aerial vehicle delivery system utilizes an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to deliver packages between an initiation point and delivery points at a raised elevation. One advantage of the system is that the UAV engages the delivery points at a raised elevation, rather than the ground level. The UAV docks through an elevated structure at the delivery point for delivering the package and replenishing a power source. The elevation of the delivery point is adjustable because the tower is comprised of identical sections that allow for stacking to a desired height for UAV landing at a docking end. The package is conveyed from a docking end and through a central shaft of the elevated structure by means of an elevator. The package then travels to a lower structure for pickup. After delivery, the UAV recharges a battery and continues on the delivery route.

摘要： An aircraft cabin management system that provides passengers and crew with a number of entertainment and productivity enhancing options. Such options include, without limitation, audio, video, control and status of aircraft data systems and electro-mechanical devices. Located proximate to each seat and in various other strategic locations throughout the cabin is a control unit that acts as the primary means of passenger and crew interaction with the cabin management system. Using a multi-cast distribution methodology, over wired or wireless distribution, allows for an unlimited number of clients to have access to each available audio/video program. This allows the system to be fully scalable from a small 4 seat mobile platform to a large 800+ seat mobile platform. While particularly drawn to aircraft, the cabin management system is also applicable to other venues that have identifiable seating locations such as buses, passenger ships, hotels and auditoriums.

摘要： A system and method for emulating or monitoring the communications behavior of any system component connected to a data bus. These functions are accomplished through the implementation of software component emulators (SCE) that encode and decode message data for any system component automatically. The present invention includes a means for development of an interface specification based on information contained in an Interface Control Document (ICD), and enables the user to create the ICD file without having to worry about formatting considerations, and view and define message data in a meaningful, human-readable format. The information in the ICD is automatically reduced to an application that combines the user-friendly, time-efficient aspects of a traditional SCE with the flexibility and universality of a bus monitor.

A high capacitance capacitor and at least a varistor are electrically interconnected in parallel and are connected to a first terminal. The capacitor and varistor are associated with an insertion mechanism which momentarily inserts the capacitor and varistor in parallel with the arcing contacts during circuit-breaker disengagement or engagement. The insulating case is extended by at least one conductive case housing both the capacitor and at least part of the varistor.
